Abstract：This article attempts to give some explanations on the place, the functions and some symbolic meanings of the five positions of the east, the west, the North, the South and the Middle in the eyes of ancient Chinese,so as to provide some leads and information for the understanding and studing of the ancient Chinese Concept of position.
