Abstract：Population and industries are concentrated in the Industrial Zone along Haerbin Dalian Railway (IZHR for short),which is the core of Northeast China. This paper reviews the course of industrial development and analyzes the advantages and existing problems of industrial development of IZHR. According to the principles of adjustment and optimization of industrial structure, and the principles of selection of key industries, combing with quantitative analysis, the authors make a scheme to adjust and optimize the industrial structure and select the key industries. The paper emphasizes the development of the key industries in the IZHR, which are agriculture, farm products processing industry, manufacture of machinery industry, petroleum refineries and petrochemical industry, high-tech industry and tertiary industry.
