Abstract：In the 1990s, New progresses have been made in the research areas and research methods of population geography in America.After a brief review of the history of the development of population geography, this paper mainly discussed some new progresses of population geography in the 1990s in America.The author concluded by identifying some gaps and pointing out some directions for future research of population geography in China.
