1 RESEARCH PROGRESS OF RURAL GENTRIFICATION IN WESTERN COUNTRIES
LU Song, ZHANG Hai, RAO Xiao-fang
Since 1990s, the concept of gentrification has been extended to the application of transformation and reconstruction in rural areas. It has attracted extensive attention from various disciplines, such as geography and sociology. The research of rural gentrification in western countries is in the ascendant and has become an effective approach on the rural research over the past 20 years. However, there are few domestic researches in this field. Based on the western literature, this paper summarizes the researches of rural gentrification in western countries. The phenomenon of class replacement may not occur in the process of rural gentrification. "Gentlemen" in the concept of "gentrification" are not confined to certain social classes. Economic level and class composition are not the only constructing criteria for the group of rural gentries. Even though there exist some new concepts of rural gentries, such as marginal gentrification (lesbians, artists, etc) and self-gentrification (Some Indigenous people are improving their socio-economic standing and becoming "middle-class" or "gentry"). Its influence includes the change and restructuring in the rural aspects of population, economy, housing market, social and politics. It promotes the growth of rural population and slows down the general decline of rural population and the trend of high emigration rate. The local economic level has been improved and the proportion of service industry has increased. And the influx of urban middle class has triggered the rising of local real estate prices. Furthermore it means injecting new strata and social structures into rural destinations. The theoretical explanations mainly include two perspectives:demand (consumption) and supply (production). Then we make a review of rural gentrification according to the deeper understanding of this concept and the difference from urban gentrification and counter-urbanization. Finally, this paper puts forward the enlightenment of the foreign research of rural gentrification on China.

7 RESEARCH PROGRESS IN INNOVATION NETWORK: A PERSPECTIVE FROM ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY
YE Qin, ZENG Gang
After 2000, the innovation network became a research hotspot of economic geography, which was used to explain industrial development, regional growth, and regional governance. However, the existing research still have fragmentation problems. This paper uses Citespace software to review related literatures, systematically combs the research context and research content of the innovation network in the field of economic geography, and clarifies the research shortage and direction. Innovation network research focus and research direction:Firstly, in terms of cyberspace scale, existing research has focused on intra-cluster and intercluster networks, intra-city and inter-city networks (urban agglomeration networks), and global network allocation of multinational corporations; future research should transform a single scale to multi-scale network coupling research, from single network to multiple network fusion research. Secondly, in terms of network evolution and its driving factors, node evolution and the influence of multi-dimensional proximity on network evolution has become the focal point of research. In the future, attention should be paid to the evolution of industry and technology network trajectories. Thirdly, network structure and its impact on innovation, research has focused on how the node network structure affects individual innovation behaviour and innovation results, the future should deepen the overall network structure and connection reasons, and the impact of network composition on the overall network evolution.

14 THE RE-EXAMINATION OF HUMAN GEOGRAPHY RESEARCH AND THE RESEARCH METHODS IN THE CONTEXT OF BIG DATA
ZHANG Bo, DENG Hao-kun, AN Ning, ZHU Hong
This paper investigates the relationship between human geography and the application of big data by discussing the articles on big data published in the mainstream human geography journals in recent years in China. The article emphasizes that the applications of big data brings both opportunities and challenges to the field of human geography. However, how to identify the correlations between different variables becomes the biggest challenge for the human geographers to deal with. In this sense, the research on big data does not break through the current disciplinary paradigm, but attempt reflects the relations in the real world. The major findings are summarized as followed:First, the big data, as a kind of new research method, cannot replace the traditional research paradigm in the human geography field, but it can only be the complement to the existing research methods. Second, the big data itself represents a type of discourse system, which is embedded in the entire human geography research system. It therefore requires us to examine the method of big data from a more critical perspective in order to ensure the diversity within human geography and avoid being overly dependent on big data. Third, in the context of big data, we need pay more attention to the impact of big data on the methods and ideas of human geography research. Last but not least, when human geographers use big data to interpret the complexity of geographical and spatial processes, it is important that they should see how the big data can be potentially applied to the public service, at the same time, they need to understand how the results of big data can make contributions to the larger society.

22 MULTIDIMENSIONAL MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL INTEGRATION OF LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES IN BEIJING
KANG Lei, ZHANG Wen-zhong, CHEN Li, ZHAN Dong-sheng, LIU Cai-cai
The social integration of urban low-income community groups has gradually become a shackle of inclusive urban development. Based on the field survey data of typical low-income communities in Beijing, this paper uses exploratory factor analysis to discuss the structure and status quo of social integration of lowincome community groups in cities, and conducts an empirical analysis on the social integration status of low-income community groups in cities. It is found that the social integration of low-income urban community groups is mainly affected by four dimensions:psychological integration, economic integration, environmental integration and community relationship integration. The overall level of social integration of typical community residents is low. The degree of community relationship integration, environment integration, economic integration and psychological integration showed the tendency of decreasing in turn. Finally, from the perspective of influencing factors, the social integration of low-income communities is mainly affected by individual factors, family factors, employment factors and housing factors. Psychological integration is mainly affected by gender, household registration system and family factors.

30 A STUDY ON THE FEMALE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMPLOYMENT AND RESIDENCE IN BEIJING BASED ON CELL PHONE DATA
WANG Jun-rong, ZHANG Jing-qiu
With the rapid development of economy and society, women take a key role both in households and works. Meanwhile, the female relationship between employment and residence has increasingly become one of the main research areas of urban social geography in terms of their special duties in taking care of family. This paper focuses on the female studies, using kernel density method, radius of gyration and network analysis to analyze the characteristics of female relationship between employment and residence of Beijing. The data is based on the cell phone data of December 1, 2015 which is the work day, for the data covers all travel modes of residents according to three spatial scales:municipality, central city and employment clusters. Conclusions can be drawn as follows:1) On the scales of municipality and central city, the relatively large scale of research masks the characteristics of female employment-residential relationship. 2) Women working in suburban areas, whose residences are gathered near the work place, have a close relationship between employment and residence, forming a "female community". 3) The attractiveness of the employment clusters to female employees is closely related to the nature of the work in the area. In addition, it will be affected by the built environment. 4) In CBD, Sanyuanqiao-Yansha and Yizhuang areas, female employees have longer commuting distance and greater pressure of separation between workplace and residence.

37 THE REGIONAL BASIS FOR THE SURVIVAL AND CONTINUATION OF “TRANSGENDERED WOMEN” IN THAILAND
ZHANG Yi-nuo, LU Zi, Danai
Why is it that the "transgendered women" of various identities have always been an indispensable and distinct element of Thailand no matter how the society changes? In the explanation of its regional basis, humanistic geography has been endowed with more expectations. This paper reviewed the transition of the regional research of "transgendered women" from medical perspective to sociological perspective. An outline of the interview covering five fields was designed, and 19 samples of "transgendered women" from Bangkok and Pattaya were interviewed by a situational and autobiographical manner. Sample of entertainers was also matched with online tracking of life (occupation) status. Through thematic analysis, two categories of society and industry with their corresponding six sub-themes were developed. It showed a positive regional landscape of "transgendered women" in Thailand combined with realistic characteristics of the formation of multi-type "transgendered women" system and "transgendered women" entertainment system. This paper argued that the survival and continuation of the "transgendered women" in Thailand has its unique regional basis, and the strong force of cultural fixity makes it form a kind of "stylized repetitive behavior" schematic. The prosperity of the performance industry of "transgender women" had created a unique oriental geographical image, which had led to higher career expectations of "transgender women" and fully demonstrated their motivation, opportunities and prospects for survival.

44 REVIEW OF RE-MATERIALIZATION AND CONSUMPTION STUDIES IN NEW CULTURAL GEOGRAPHY
MA Ling, ZHU Hong, WANG Min
In Anglo-American social and cultural geography, consumption has been emerging as a new theoretical frontier and empirical focus point alongside with the rising of re-materialization and material turn, in particular after the "cultural turn" since 1980s. This material geography calls for attention on human material system and its representing social ideologies/social norms, as well as people's everyday life. In this regard, this paper reviews the complex relations between material geography and consumption. Under the advocacy of the "returning to materialization" in new cultural geography, the consumption research focuses significantly on the complex interaction and daily practice of "subject-objects(things)-place(society)" with the material as the clue. For instance, by "living with the things", one can observe how people build their life world through material objects. Through "following the things", one can examine the place-relations and different socio-cultural contexts during the flow of things across the globe. And by "feeling the things", one can investigate the affective relations between people, material objects and places. In sum, the paper calls for attention to the material part of human system and the introduction of dimension of "things" in people's daily living practice and traditional "human-place" relationship.

53 THE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN CROSS-BORDER MOBILITY, SENSE OF PLACE AND BORDER PERCEPTIONS: A CASE OF HONG KONG AND SHENZHEN BORDER CROSSERS
FENG Dan, ZHU Hong, BREITUNG Werner
The socio-economic ties between Hong Kong and Shenzhen are growing stronger, leading to significant growth in cross-border travel over the years. To reveal the impacts of cross-border mobility, especially on the perception and ideas on people's minds, is crucial to the integration process between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The socio-cultural effect of cross-border contacts is disputable, and this paper place in argument in the context of Hong Kong and Shenzhen borderland region. Based on survey data with 831 respondents taking residence in Shenzhen or Hong Kong, we conducted path model to analyze the interaction among cross-border mobility, border perception and sense of place. The results show that:1) Frequency of border crossing directly influences Hong Kong and Shenzhen resident's perception on personal and regional changes brought by the border; 2) Frequency of border crossing also directly influenced people's sense of place toward the city on the other side of the border. The more frequent border crossers have stronger positive sense of place; 3) Sense of place have direct influence on the perception of personal changes while have indirect influence on the perception of regional changes.

61 FEMALE'S SPACE PRACTICE AND URBAN BRAND CONSTRUCTION RESEARCH IN THE CONTEXT OF CROSS-BORDER MOBILITY: A CASE OF SAMSUI WOMEN
ZENG Min, LIN Ming-liang, WANG Min
By the early twentieth century, the cross-border movement has gradually demonstrated the trend of feminization with huge numbers of women from Sanshui moving to Singapore and participating in the urban construction. "Samsui Women" is the title for these migrators for their gender and distinctive clothing. In recent years, city brand has increasingly attracted the higher attention and working focus from cities and governments for its critical role in improving regional and international reputation as well as competitive power. The "Samsui Women" is a typical case of women's cross-border movement in modern China, with its impact not limited to the "global/local" and "public/private" spatial scales. It also has effect on the practice of urban scales, one aspect of which is be embodied in the circumstance that the "Samsui Women" symbol is used in the promotion of urban brands. This paper mainly compares the spatial practice process of "Samsui Women" as a city brand in Singapore and Sanshui through in-depth interviews. "Samsui Women" has made tremendous contributions to the urban construction of Singapore and gained wide praise. The courage and diligence of Samsui women became well-known through cross-border movement. People both in Sanshui and Singapore could get to know the precious spiritual legacy inherited from Samsui women. In Sanshui, the local cultural brand is constructed with the overseas Chinese symbols of tenacious Sanshui women, with its effect not equivalent to that of Singapore.

68 STEREOTYPE AND IDENTITY CONSTRUCTION UNDER THE BACKGROUND OF TRANSNATIONAL EDUCATION MOBILITY: A CASE STUDY OF CHINESE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN THE UNITED STATES
LIN Xu-dan, CHEN Xiao-liang
With the continuous expansion of the Chinese overseas student population in the United States, the experience of Chinese students in American society drew much attention. This study focused on Chinese international students' interaction with both Chinese and American society because although they lived in American society, they used social media to connect with their friends and relatives who were living in China, and know things happened in the in-group society. Both these two places affected and shaped the students' identity. Thus, this paper explored the impact of the interaction on shaping the students' identity through in-depth interviews, which was able to provide a nuanced understanding of the feelings and experiences of participants about encountering stereotypes. This paper recruited 10 participants who studied at the University of Florida as undergraduate and graduate students to conduct the interviews. It was found that stereotypes from American society hindered the deep integration of Chinese students. Also, it caused Chinese students' self-discipline, reminding themselves as the minority, which made them feel alienated from American society. In addition, the gap between the high expectations of studying in the United States and American society, and the actual experience of Chinese students in the United States enhanced their emotional connections with the motherland.

83 EMPLOYMENT SPATIAL DIFFERENTIATION AND THE IDENTIFICATION OF INDUSTRIES AFFECTING ON JOBS-HOUSING SPATIAL MISMATCH IN BEIJING METROPOLITAN AREA
ZHANG Xue-bo, SONG Jin-ping, CHEN Li-juan, SUN Feng-hua
Different industries choose different locations in the city and accommodate different kinds of employment population. Many researchers studied the link between employment spatial differentiation and jobshousing spatial mismatch, and found the diversity of jobs-housing spatial mismatch in people engaged in different industries. Thus, employment spatial differentiation and jobs-housing spatial mismatch are not only closely related to each other, but also two important issues for studying urban spatial structure and urban development problems such as traffic congestion, housing difficulties etc. However, there was a gap in how to establish the logical relationship between urban employment spatial differentiation and jobs-housing spatial mismatch. This study chose the Beijing Metropolitan Area as the research case, used Employment Location Entropy analyzed the employment spatial differentiation, combined Jobs-housing Deviation Index and innovatively built a linear regression model for identifying the industries affecting on jobs-housing spatial mismatch, then identified the industries which played significant roles in jobs-housing spatial mismatch in the Beijing Metropolitan Area.

91 RESEARCH ON THE AFFORDABILITY OF RENTAL HOUSING IN BEIJING
TANG Lin, FENG Chang-chun, XIAO Liang, GUO Yong-pei, HAN Wei
For a long time, China's rental housing market has been severely marginalized. The 13th Five-Year Plan clearly proposes to establish a housing system that combines rent and purchase, highlighting the characteristics of returning housing to "residential properties". The housing leasing market has become a research hotspot, and the affordability of residents' rental housing is the key to pricing and policy formulation of rental housing. This article will take this as an entry point, and combine the affordable rental housing with commercial rental housing as the research object. From the current situation of China's housing rental market, using the rental data of 179 public rental housing communities and 5,980 market-rental housing communities in Beijing, and the household consumption expenditure data of Beijing Statistical Yearbook (2014-2016), objectively evaluate the household disposable income and minimum non-housing consumption of people with different income levels. Based on the indicators such as the proportion of housing subsidies, the per capita maximum rental housing affordability can be calculated. And define the per capita rental housing affordability index, which is used to assess the level of payability of different groups of people. In addition, combined with the current supply situation of the rental housing market, using the Kriging interpolation method and the nuclear density estimation model of GIS software, the spatial characteristics and causes of residents' affordability are analyzed, and the existing rental housing in Beijing is matched with the residential housing affordability.

99 THE IMPACT OF HIGH-SPEED RAIL ON REGIONAL ACCESSIBILITY AND REGIONAL SPATIAL INTERACTIONS: A CASE STUDY OF CHENGDUCHONGQING URBAN AGGLOMERATION
ZONG Hui-ming, HUANG Yan
Based on the network analysis tools in standard ArcGIS software, four indicators, including weighted average travel time(WATT), daily accessibility index(DA), potential accessibility index(PA) and accessibility coefficient, are used to evaluate the impact of high-speed rail on regional accessibility of ChengduChongqing urban agglomeration. Meanwhile, the impact of high-speed rail on the regional spatial interactions is analyzed based on the gravity model. The results show:1)The construction of high-speed railway greatly improves overall level of regional accessibility, showing significant "corridor effect". 2)The spatial difference in the layout of transportation infrastructure is remarkable, and the high-speed rail has significantly improved the accessibility of some cities while the gap of position advantage has been widened. 3)The construction of high-speed rail has strengthened the core status of Chongqing and Chengdu, while Chengdu has a greater potential for development. The framework of transportation corridor in Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomerationhas developed under the construction of high-speed rail, while the one-hour traffic circle have not effectively connected between Chengdu and Chongqing. The central region of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration is still in a "collapse" situation for missing of second tier city in this area.

118 TEMPORAL-SPATIAL CHARACTERISITICS AND INFLUENTIAL FACTORS OF CHINA' PRODUCER SERVICES DEVELOPMENT
BAI Xue, SONG Yu-xiang
With the development of social economy, the deepening of labor division and the progress of science and technology, producer services have achieved unprecedented development in the global scope, and to a certain extent, which has exerted a decisive influence on the development trend of global "service-oriented economy". As an important part of the service industry, producer services are not only the main aspects of industrial transformation and upgrading and economic power transformation in China, but also the breakthrough point of promoting supply-side structural reform and leading the new normal of the economy. Basing on standard deviation ellipse, esda-gwr and spatial econometric analysis, this study explored the temporal-spatial characteristics and influential factors of the producer services development level of China's 286 prefecture-level cities from 2003 to 2015. The research conclusions are as following:Firstly, since 2003, the comprehensive index of producer services development level has been greatly improved, and the trend of gradual decline from coastal areas to inland areas has been gradually strengthened. From the perspective of spatial pattern, it presents the "center-periphery" structure from the coast to the inland. Secondly, China's producer services development level shows obvious spatial evolution characteristics:in the east-west direction, it firstly polarizes and then disperses; in the south-north direction, it firstly disperses and then polarizes. Thirdly, China's producer services development displays a strong and positive spatial correlation between cities, although the intensity is weakened, it is still very significant. The spatial correlation pattern is characterized by the "echelon" structure of the east coast as a high concentration area, inland as a low concentration area. Finally, this paper introduces spatial econometric model and GWR when analyzing the influential factors of producer services.

137 MULTI-DIMENSIONAL INFLUENCE OF URBANIZATION ON AGRICULTURE-RURAL: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY BASED ON PROVINCIAL PANEL DATA
LI Jin-tao, LIU Yan-sui, YANG Yuan-yuan, JIANG Ning
In the new era of urban-rural transformation and development, some problems such as uneven urban-rural development, widening gaps, and intensified contradictions are becoming increasingly apparent. The government has taken a series of strategic measures to promote agricultural and rural development such as the construction of new socialist countryside, new-type urbanization, agricultural modernization, supplyside structural reform and rural revitalization. The urban-rural regionalization has caused significant differences in the impact of urbanization in different regions on agricultural and rural development. Strategic policies must also be accurately implemented in order to effectively promote the sustainable development of agriculture-rural. Thus, based on panel data, this paper quantitatively measures the influencing degree of provincial population, land and industrial urbanization on agricultural and rural development from the perspective of system-subsystem-factors, and deeply analyzes the mechanism of different factors on agriculture-rural systems.

146 THE INFLUENCE OF GENERAL ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR TO SITE-SPECIFIC ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR PRE AND POST VISIT: A CASE STUDY OF HUANGSHAN MOUNTAIN
HONG Xue-ting, ZHANG Hong-mei, HUANG Zhen-fang, XU Dong
The research on environmentally responsible behavior mainly focuses on daily life context, less on tourism context, not to mention the lack of comparison in different situation. It is essential and urgent to strengthen the relevant research in the context of natural tourism and to compare the behaviors in different conditions. The nature-based tourism experience may have a positive impact on visitors' environmental behavior, so this article focuses on the relationship between the two kinds of environmentally responsible behavior (before and after the visit). Based on the survey data of environmentally responsible behavior of the same batch of Huangshan tourists before and after the tour, this paper uses Smart PLS software and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling to examine the impact of general environmentally responsible behaviors (before and after the trip) on site-specific environmentally responsible behaviors (on site). Firstly, the empirical results indicate that general environmentally responsible behaviors affect the site-specific environmentally responsible behaviors partly, and the influence is limited. Secondly, there are more significant influences between the more relative behaviors. Thirdly, the impact of general environmental responsibility behavior after the tourism experience on the site-specific environmental responsibility behavior is slightly greater than the impact between the two before visit.

154 THE RELATION AND INTERACTION MECHANISM BETWEEN HERITAGIZATION AND TOURISMIFICATION IN HANI TERRACES OF YUANYANG
ZHOU Xiao-feng, ZHANG Chao-zhi
In academical studies, heritage usually is considered as a process and a product of heritagization, while tourismification is regarded as a phenomenon, a process, a result, and one of the important modes to promote the sustainable survival of heritage. Hereby, this paper conducted a diachronic analysis on the actors in the processes of heritagization and tourismification of Hani Terraces in Yuanyang with the actantial model of Greimas. It found that:First, the heirtagization and tourismification of Hani Terraces of Yuanyang basically occurred in the same social context and space-time, but their crucial subjects and objects are so different that it established the basis for their relationship changes in the future; Second, the interaction between heritagization(H) and tourismification(T) is not static, but experienced four stages of dynamic change like "T initiated H→H and T promoted mutually→T impeded H→H accelerated T"; Third, the key actors like "photographers", "government departments, experts and scholars and mass media", "the contradictions among nonlocal investors, tourism enterprises and local residents, the problems of ecological and environmental damage, and local poverty issues", "local government, tourism enterprises and community residents", respectively played a major role on the evolution of their interaction during the four different stages. This conclusion has a beneficial revelation for comprehensively understanding the relationship between world heritage declaration and tourism development. The actors in the processes of heirtagization and tourismification are diverse and complex, which fully embody their duality and multiple effects.
