Abstract：The paper discusses spatial structure model and developmental model of Lanzhou from the such aspects as natural conditions、politics and military、agriculture、communication、economy and trade、industrialization. The author also analyzes the critical problems that should be paid more attention to in the development,for instance,environment,land and natural disaster of the valley-basin city.
