Abstract：On the basis of investagation and research, the paper analyses the harmfulness of urban geological calamity and influence on development of city adopting the method of crossing natural science and social science and accorsing to a series of geologinational economic plan 2000 and a longe range aim 2010, the article praises basic countermeasures and administrative measures to bring the urban geological calamity under control and provides basic thinking for our country to formulate a longrange plan of urban development and the objective of a struggle.
