Abstract：The urbanization of tourism makes city becoming the center of tourism attraction. Especially, the center business district of big city has becoming the visiting "focus" to citizens and visitors. The center business district develops very quickly and then it produces the Urban Business Recreation District(UBRD). It based on the urban business central district, involved in kinds of recreation activities, then it came into being a district for people to recreate、to shop、to amuse themselves. Along with the discussing of the importance of UBRD research, the paper, taking the Human Road of Nanjing city as a case, discusses the forming process of UBRD and the mechanism of motive force to build up UBRD. The paper points out that UBRD has synthetical and systematicness development facto rs, such as nature、culture、traffic、business、finance、community、government and so on facto rs playing active roles in its development course. Its dynamic mechanism is an inter-dynamic system composed of many interknitted factors. In this system, the recreational consumption subsystem and recreation products subsystem are motive forces and medium system is the guide of recreational consumption, and urban supporting system is the condition of development. Then the paper analyzes the spatial structure of UBRD. UBRD belongs to cantonal recreation and be located in the central area of city. The inner space of UBRD can be divided into four hierarchies, such as intercourse space, building space, street space, square space. The UBRD scope isn't paused by an unambiguous bound. The layout of facilities from inside to outside is a gradual course. UBRD can be divided into co re and frame by the density of recreational facilities. The core is dense distribution area of recreational facilities and recreational activities. The frame is a transitional area from outside cantonal to UBRD. The space of UBRD is the combined styles and the relationships of recreational facilities and recreational activities in the district. It is the result of interaction of agglomerative and diffusive effect, neighbor effect, transmission effect, and self-organization effect of urban spaces. Look on geometry, UBRD is a regional shape composed of "points"、"lines"、"plane" of kinds of recreational facilities and recreational activities.
