Abstract：Using statistics method, this paper takes the study of spatial development of northwest region urban system and influencing factors from 1840 to 1994.The authors point out that northwest region urban system experienced the process from no core to three cores;urban distributed disprotionately;urban dense arltered quickly.The anthors hold the factors inflrencing spatial development of northwest urban system included:Economy, Politis, Transportation and Maketing and so on.
