1 FLOW AND RESCALE: RETHINKING LOGISTICS INDUSTRY AS SPACE OF FLOWS
FANG Jia-wen, HE Can-fei
As an important carrier of material flow between enterprises, the modern logistics industry, through the construction of transportation infrastructure and the continuous innovation of information and communication technology, provides the impetus and channel for the formation, development, operation, and evolution of global production networks, while the traditional spatial hierarchy is gradually reconstructed. Based on this background, this paper will integrate the theories of "space of flows" and "scale reconstruction",summarize the theoretical and practical studies on the spatial distribution of logistics industry,to explore how the logistics industry as "space of flows" forms and affects the traditional spatial hierarchy. The article first summarizes the core ideas of "space of flows" theory and "scale reconstruction" theory and explores the possibility of their integration, and then sorts out the three development forms of logistics industry, namely, firms (point),cluster (group) and city network (net). In summary, the point and cluster-based logistics research is still from the perspective of "space of places",while the network-based logistics research starts to try to use the idea of "space of flows" theory and use logistics transaction data to restore and identify logistics industry as"space of flows". A small number of studies have begun to explore the role of logistics hub construction in the framework of "scale reconstruction" for regional socio-economic development from the perspective of national strategic planning.

BA Shi-qi, CHEN Ying, YAO Yu-yang, LI Gan
Under the background that area studies is listed as a first-level discipline, Small Island Developing States(SIDS) has become a new opportunity for the development and growth of world geography research field in China. The research on Small Island Developing States in domestic academic circles has a strong interdisciplinary nature, which has been involved in multiple subject areas, such as international relations, history, anthropology, sociology, economics, law and literature. From the perspective of geography, the existing research results mainly includes the following four topics: Geopolitics, economic interaction and industrial development, regional response to climate change, cultural geography and social construction. In terms of methods in Small Island Developing States research field, the qualitative research methods are mainly applied to existing research results, while the quantitative methods are single and limited, its advantages of research on Small Island Developing States are not exploited. In addition to this, the advantages of spatial analysis theories and methods in geography research field still need to be further explored and applied. Through literature review and theoretical analysis, the results indicate: In the first place, the Small Island Developing States research is an important medium for dialogue between human geography and area studies, secondly the correlation between different scales is the main perspective of Small Island Developing States research, thirdly the colonial history of these countries is the basic clue that runs through Small Island Developing States research. In the end, this paper draws the international experience and methods of Small Island Developing States research field and puts forward four research prospects for Small Island Developing States research in domestic academic circles from the perspective of the geography.

25 HOUSING CLASS AND ITS SOCIAL SPATIAL DIFFERENTIATION IN BIG CITIES: A CASE STUDY OF NANJING
SONG Wei-xuan, CUI Can, YE Ling, LIU Wei-chen
Under the background of the rapid rise in urban housing prices and the differentiation of the housing market in China, housing conditions can not only reflect family wealth, but also be closely related to the social status of housing owners, the education of future generations and class identity. This paper takes the quantity and level of housing as clustering indices, dividingthe samples into four categories: Landlord class, improvement class, necessity class and houseless class. The social attributes and spatial characteristics of different housing classesare analyzed and compared from the aspects of housing conditions, family structure, education level, occupational incomeand spatial distribution, etc. It is proposed that the joint effects of work unit institution, housing market mechanism, residential culture and spatial function promote the formation and differentiation of housing class in China's big cities. By integrating geographical thinking and spatial elements into traditional housing class theory and carrying out empirical exploration, it is preliminarily verified that the housing class differentiation in big cities objectively exists and continues to intensify

36 DAILY DIETARY PRACTICES AND GEOGRAPHICAL ENCOUNTERS OF TRANSNATIONAL IMMIGRANTS: A CASE STUDY OF GUANGZHOU
LIN Jia-hui, ZENG Guo-jun, ZHANG Xiao-xuan, ZHONG Shu-ru
With the intensification of global population mobility, the daily life practice and local meaning construction of transnational immigrants have become new research topics, and diet has become a key lens for insight into the social interaction between immigrants and host countries. This process inevitably has contact and interaction with the host society, and directly contributes to diverse geographical encounters. To this end, this paper raises three research questions: How do the daily dietary practices of transnational immigrants contribute to diverse geographical encounters? What are the results of geographical encounters? What is the mechanism behind it? This paper intends to select Guangzhou as the case, invoke the concept of encounter in geography, and adopt qualitative research methods to focus on the geographical encounter between transnational immigrants and different subjects in the daily dietary practice, and analyze the significance of such encounter for their integration into the host country society, with a view to enriching the relevant research on encounter and migration geography in geography. To provide suggestions for the social integration of transnational immigrants in big cities of China under the background of mobility. The study found that: 1) transnational immigrants interact with the host society in different dietary spaces, promoting diverse geographical encounters. 2) The geographical encounter of transnational immigrants in the public eating space not only promotes the result of social integration, but also deepens the gap between individuals and the host country due to the social and cultural differences between them. 3) The daily diet practices and geographical encounters of transnational immigrants are driven by subjective factors, strengthened by social factors and supported by local factors.

44 SPATIAL DIFFERENCE OF FLOATING ELDERLY POPULATION’S URBAN PSYCHOLOGICAL INTEGRATION AND HETEROGENEITY OF INFLUENCING FACTORS IN CHINA
MAO Xiao-hong, YANG Cheng-feng, YANG Gang
Based on the data from the 2017 national migrant population dynamic monitoring survey(CMDS), this paper measures the urban psychological integration level of the floating elderly population in prefecturelevel and above cities in China from three aspects: integration willingness, psychological distance and identity. On this basis, multi-scale geographically weighted regression(MGWR) and K-means cluster methods are used to study its spatial differences and influencing factors. The results show that: 1) The level of floating elderly population's urban psychological integration in China is generally high, but its spatial difference is obvious, showing a high level in Sichuan-Chongqing, northwest, northeast areas, and a significant lag in the coastal areas of South China and Middle East. 2) The level of floating elderly population's urban psychological integration is jointly affected by the factors of mobility, family and registered residence and individual behavior at their own level, as well as the public services of the cities where they migrate. However, there were significant spatial heterogeneity and spatial scale differences among different influencing factor. Based on this, the K-means cluster method is used to divide it into four influence areas: The dominant area of household, household registration and behavioral factors, the dominant area of health service factors, the dominant area of behavioral factors and the dominant area of multi-factor co-action, it can provide some basis for making relevant policies according to local conditions.

54 DISCURSIVE CONSTRUCTIONS IN THE GEOGRAPHICAL IMAGINATION OF SHAMEEN, GUANGZHOU: A PERSPECTIVE BASED ON MODERN NEWSPAPER TEXTS
JI Chen, LIN Geng
The study finds that the geographical imagination of Shameen lacks the directionality in early popular discourses. Between 1924 and 1945, with the conflict between China and foreign intensified, the spatial image of Shameen is purposefully represented and othered by subjects of power and discourse. In view of this, we argue that the othering and industry process of spatial image of Shameen in newspaper's discourses is a dynamic negotiation process of multiple subjects and pluralism under the role of social power relations in different periods, characterized by the Chinese newspaper discourse, and is a comprehensive response to the changes in social relations of the times. As a conclusion, from the representation of modern civilisation, the cohesion of social consciousness to the concern for social contradictions, the discourses of different eras have their own discursive cores, and the imagination of differentiation is historically constructed by different eras' discourses. And it is important to note that although the spatial image of Shameen has changed in different historical periods, reports about the conflicts between China and foreign countries have existed since Shameen was set aside as a concession and have continued to influence the construction of the image of Shameen in media discourse.

64 BODY PRESENCE, INTERACTION AND CULTURAL SPACE CONSTRUCTION IN THE ICE AND SNOW TOURISM FIELD
ZHANG Peng-fei, YU Hu, XU Lin-lin
The immersive experience of ice and snow tourism emphasizes tourists' physical literacy and athletic abilities. This study, grounded in embodied cognition theory, elucidates the transformation process from tourism field to ice and snow tourism field. It delves into the bodily functions within the ice and snow tourism field, from a micro perspective, uncovers the interactive relationship between the ice and snow tourism field and tourists. Furthermore, it systematically expounds upon the shaping and iterative process of body culture space. The study posits that the body, as the experiential subject within the ice and snow tourism field, assumes diverse functions such as field cognition, embodied experiences, and cultural space formation. From the premise that "tourism is experiential, and experience requires embodiment, " the physical "presence" of tourists' bodies becomes an objective requirement for realizing immersive tourism experiences, with bodily experiences serving as the wellspring for constructing the ice and snow tourism cultural space. Throughout the tourism activities, tourists naturally embed their bodies into the ice and snow tourism field, and play a creative regulating role in the construction of the psychological field and physical field of the ice and snow tourism, fully experiencing and organically shaping the ice and snow tourism field. With the "multi-level and diachronic accumulation" of ice and snow tourism destinations, the significance attributed to the body as the core subject continues to manifest, leading to a gradual transition of body culture space from "body culture node-body culture axe-body culture field". In the long term, under the combined influence of internal driving forces within the body and external technological advancements, the body culture space within ice and snow tourism field will undergo complex and diversified iterative evolution.

81 THE EVOLUTION AND THE SPATIAL EXPANSION PATTERN OF THE DIGITAL ECONOMY NETWORK IN THE YANGTZE RIVER DELTA REGION BASED ON INTERFIRM INVESTMENT RELATIONSHIP
LENG Shuo-feng, XI Guang-liang, ZHEN Feng, LIU Han-yang
The development of information technology has profoundly changed human production and lifestyle as well as socio-economic organizational models, bringing about a drastic transformation of urban and regional space. Based on the equity correlation data of digital economy enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta, this paper constructed a weighted digital economy industrial investment network with prefecture-level cities and counties as the study units. This paper studied the evolution characteristics of the network of the digital economy of the Yangtze River Delta from 2010 to 2020, and summarized three spatial expansion modes of core expansion, node expansion and edge expansion. The research findings are as follows: (1) From 2010 to 2020, the polarization process of the Yangtze River Delta digital economy network gradually slowed down, and the network gradually became stable and centralized. (2) The core region of the Yangtze River Delta digital economy network basically covered Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. (3) The Yangtze River Delta digital economy network presents a "diamond + radial" spatial structure, and the triangle formed by Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo occupies the center of gravity of the entire structure. (4) The overall network of the Yangtze River Delta digital economy has experienced a stage of focusing on core expansion and paying equal attention to core expansion and node expansion.

92 CHARACTERISTICS AND DIFFERENCES IN THE SUSTAINABILITY OF RURAL TOURISM OPERATIONS IN SUBURBAN BEIJING FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF OPERATORS: A CASE STUDY OF LIANHUACHI VILLAGE IN HUAIROU
CAI Bei-lei, WANG Mao-jun, CHEN Yun-ling
The multi-participation and multi-format integration of rural tourism operations in metropolitan suburbs are becoming prominent. This study constructs a framework to analyze the characteristics and differences in sustainability of rural tourism operations among different groups. The results shows: 1) For the operator sustainability, young people perform better than elderly while outsiders perform better than locals. The differences in age and origin imply inherent differences in entrepreneurial willingness and capital strength; 2) There are correspondences among operating formats, employment methods and operation methods. B&B presents as production employment and online operations, while farmhouse resort is self-employed and offline-dominated. 3) The spatial quality and renewal capability of homesteads are linked to whether tourism operations can avoid obsolescence or achieve upgrades. Spatial reproduction process reflects the struggle between home space and operating premises, as well as a zero-sum game of ritual order and capital logic; 4) The operating Groups I, II, and III respectively corresponds to high, medium, and low operating income, forming an overall sustainability difference in rural tourism operations of Group I > Group II > Group III.

105 SIZE COLLAPSE OF THE LARGEST CITIES IN CITY SIZE DISTRIBUTION AND THE INFLUENCING FACTORS
WANG Yan-yan, SUN Bin-dong, ZHANG Ting-lin
Metropolises, especially the largest part of them, play a vital role in the national development. However, in-depth analyses focusing on the relative collapse of the largest cities compared to the overall city size distribution are severely lacking. Based on the population and build-up data of the Global Human Settlement Layers from 1975 to 2015 and applying the unified definition of cities, this paper explores the extent, causes and mechanism of the size collapse of the largest cities in more than 100 countries. The results show that the sizes of the largest cities in a third of the countries in the world are collapsed, that is lower than its simulated value based on the overall city size distribution. With the increase of the largest cities' sizes, the extent of collapse first deceases and then increases as a result of the dynamic equilibrium between agglomeration economy and agglomeration diseconomy. The application of advanced transportation technology can reduce the size collapse extent of the largest cities. But with the continuous growth of city sizes and exceeding the capacity of transportation technology, the collapse extent of the city sizes will be further enhanced. The findings support the hypothesis that the collapse of maximum city size is attributed to the presence of agglomeration diseconomies and constraints from the technological, economic, and managerial capabilities of large cities within a certain period.

113 THE INFLUENCING MECHANISM AND BACKBONE STRUCTURE OF CHINA'S INTERCITY INFORMATION NETWORK
DAI Liang, WANG Rui-lin, CAO Zhan, DING Zi-jun, ZHENG Hui-bin
In the era of Internet, the high-speed flows of information contribute to the dynamic reconstruction of urban space. Against this backdrop, this paper constructed China's intercity information network based on the Baidu searching index of 336 cities at the prefecture level and above in 2019, and then applied disparity filter algorithm to extract the backbone of the complex information network and analyzed its structural characteristics. After that, exponential random graph models were used to further explore the underlying endogenous and exogenous influencing mechanisms. The results show that: 1) China's intercity information network is highly dense with full coverage, multiple scales, and obvious heterogeneity. The network backbone extracted by the disparity filter algorithm at the significance level of 0.1 clearly shows the regional disparity and global features of the intercity information flows. 2) The virtual intercity information flows still suggest an apparent gradient difference of regional development. 3) The city's administrative level, informatization level, and tourism popularity can enhance intercity information flows and the provincial boundary effect is prominent in China.

123 A STUDY ON THE HOME-MAKING PRACTICE RUN BY LOCAL VILLAGERS BASED ON CAPITAL ANALYSIS: A CASE OF XZ VILLAGE
HUANG Shi-zhen, LIU Yu-ting, AN Yue-hui
"Home" serves as a spatial representation of the most profound sense of place. Previous research has often portrayed villagers' home from a passive standpoint, concentrating on aspects such as mobility and reconstruction. This paper, in contrast, underscores the potential of Chinese villagers to transcend conventional perceptions. It delves into their journey of establishing enduring connections within their communities, constructing their living space of home, and materializing local values through deliberate home-making practices. Based on the case of XZ Village, this study discovers villagers' perceptions of home, their ability in home-making, and their "traditional-modern" practices, all underpinned from the analysis perspective of economic and social capital. We find that: 1) The core essence of home emotion rests within the foundational consensus of local villagers. The traditional concept of home signifies the preservation of communication patterns and spatial arrangements within the clan-based society. 2) Local villagers are endowed with social capital encompassing relationships and trust, alongside economic capital comprising collective property rights and money. 3) The intricate interplay between traditional and modern home sentiments propels villagers to navigate the external dynamics and effect internal capital inter-transformation, which culminates in the creation of their distinctive home space.

132 MULTI-DIMENSIONAL CHARACTERISTICS AND FORMATION MECHANISM OF RURAL LABOR REFLOW IN POVERTY ALLEVIATION AREAS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF RURAL REVITALIZATION: A CASE STUDY OF FENGJIE COUNTY, CHONGQING
HE Tian, LANG Yu, QING Li-bo, LIU Yuan-li, LIAO He-ping
As the key to rural revitalization lies in people, investing the multi-dimensional characteristics and mechanism of rural labor reflow would be of great theoretical and practical significance for reshaping rural subjects and promoting rural revitalization. Based on the survey data of 390 administrative villages (communities) and 5180 sampling questionnaires on rural labor force in Fengjie county, Chongqing, this paper investigates the multi-dimensional characteristics of rural labor reflow, using a binary logistic regression model, geo-detector model identifies the internal and external factors for labor reflow at the individual and village levels, and explores its mechanism. The research results indicated that: 1)Rural migrant workers demonstrated significantly differentiated characteristics in gender, age, marital status and family support, etc. 2)The level of labor reflow to villages was low overall, relatively high in the central and southern parts of the county, and relatively low in the northern and south central parts; higher level of reflow was associated with lower degree of spatial agglomeration. 3)Rural labor reflow behavior in the researched area is an outcome of combined effects of the intrinsic factors at the individual level and the exogenous factors at the village level.

151 A NEW METHOD TO MEASURE THE CONSISTENCY BETWEEN PERCEIVED AND PROJECTED DESTINATION IMAGE
WU Jin-feng, ZHOU Jing-chao, SHI Xiao-teng, WANG Zi-hao
Tourists often choose a destination based on their image rather than the objective reality, and they are more willing to choose a destination with a good image. Therefore, the Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) makes every effort to establish a positive and attractive destination image in the minds of tourists. However, the image perceived by tourists may not be consistent with the image projected by DMO, and improving the consistency between perceived image and projected image is an objective need to improve the marketing effect of destination image. So, effectively measuring the consistency between projected and perceived destination images is very meaningful for destination image marketing. This paper uses deductive method to explore a new method to measure the consistency of the two from the cognitive image dimension, and uses the domestic tourist image data of Hangzhou and Xi'an obtained from a large sample questionnaire survey to conduct empirical research. The main conclusions are as follows: 1) It is feasible to quantitatively evaluate the consistency between tourists' perceived image and DMO projected image using the calculation formulas of attribute matching degree, dimension matching degree, and overall matching degree; 2) The flagshaped chart of attribute matching degree, the fan-shaped chart of dimension matching degree and the snailshaped chart of overall matching degree provide a visual method for DMO to accurately and intuitively grasp the market cognitive image of tourism destinations; 3) The key to improve the marketing effect of tourist destination image is to improve the popularity of tourist destinations and the familiarity of tourists and the shortcut to improve the market cognitive image of tourist destinations is to improve the quality and level of tourism services; 4) From 2014 to 2015, the tourism destination cognitive image matching degree of Hangzhou was higher than that of Xi'an, and the tourism image marketing effect of Hangzhou was better.

163 THE PROCESS OF LIVELIHOOD TRANSFORMATION IN RURAL TOURISM DESTINATIONS: A NEW PERSPECTIVE OF "ASSEMBLAGE THEORY"
')" href="#"> MENG Kai, WANG Qiang
With tourism becoming an important pathway for rural revitalization and the practice of the common prosperity strategy, many rural areas in China have achieved livelihood transformation through the development of rural tourism industry. It is not difficult to find that the transformation essentially reflects an adaptive adjustment of the rural human-land relationship system which involves the complexity of relationship practice. From the perspective of "assemblage", it is urgent to answer the following research questions in studying the process of rural tourism destination livelihood transformation. How to understand the connotation and characteristics of rural tourism destination livelihood assemblage? What are the driving forces and process logic of the livelihood assemblage? Therefore, taking rural tourism destinations as the research object, starting from the practical and theoretical issues of rural tourism destination livelihood transformation, this paper introduces a post structuralism "assembly" perspective to scientifically study the assembly process and logic of rural tourism destination livelihood transformation. Firstly, a comprehensive and in-depth exploration was conducted on the applicability of the assembly theory based on its connotation; Secondly, the concept and characteristics of "rural tourism destination livelihood assemblage" were scientifically analyzed; Finally, from the perspective of assembly, this paper interprets the process and relationship logic of livelihood welfare assembly space in rural tourism destinations during the initial, participation, development, decline or recovery stages of transformation driven by "desire" of positive productivity.

172 TO BE SAME, OR TO BE DIFFERENT? STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LOCAL IDENTITY AND TOURISTS' VALUE CO-CREATION BEHAVIOR
ZHAO Jin-jin, LIU Bo
This paper takes Huangshan Scenic Spot as the case site, constructs a moderated mediation model with the social exchange theory and the "environmental-stimulus-organism response" model, and introduces tourism involvement and restorative environmental perception into the research model as the mediating and moderating variable respectively, aiming to reveal the transmission mechanism and effect boundary of local identity on tourists' value co-creation behavior, in order to explore the "antinomy" law of local identity for tourists' value co-creation behavior. The research results show that: 1) local identity has an inverted Ushaped impact on tourists' value co-creation behavior; 2) local identity has an inverted U-shaped impact on tourism involvement, and tourism involvement plays a mediating role in the relationship between local identity and tourists' value co-creation behavior. 3) restorative environmental perception moderates the relationship between local identity and tourism involvement, and further moderates the effect of local identity indirectly affecting tourists' value co-creation behavior through tourism involvement. The obtained conclusions effectively improve and supplement the discussion on the mechanism of local identity, and this study provides a reference for promoting tourism destinations to build a tourism experience value co-creation mechanism.
