Abstract:The term of tourism-impact has been gaining increasing attention in the tourism-related article. A number of studies in recent years have examined host residents' perception of the impact of tourism development on their community, and it continues to be an important issue. The success of any tourism project is threatened to the extent that the development is planned and constructed without the knowledge and support of the host population. While success in this industry depends upon attractions and services, it requires the hospitality of local residents. For a tourism-related economy to sustain itself, residents must be partners in the process. Because of the frequency of interaction between residents and tourists, their willingness to serve as gracious hosts is critical to the success of tourism. Therefore, residents must be involved in the planning and the ir attitudes toward tourism and perceptions of its impact on community life must be continually assessed. Understanding local reaction and the factors that influence these attitudes is essential in achieving the goal of favorable support for tourism development. Residents' reactions have been studied extensively in the article. Tourism may be regarded as the combination of tourists, a business, and an environment or community in which this industry operates. If one is to understand the impact of tourism on residents, the inter-relationships between various elements in the system must be studied. In recent years the impact of tourism on host governments and residents has been a growing area of research as it has become widely recognized that planners and entrepreneurs must take the views of the host community into account if the industry is to be sustainable in the long term. Research into the antecedents of resident reaction to tourism can help planners. If it is known why residents support or oppose the industry, it will be possible to select those developments, which can minimize negative social impacts and maximize support for such alternatives. This paper studies on Taihu lake national tourist resort region at Mashan Mountain town. This study gives out 320 questionnaires, and returns 272 questionnaires. All the date is analysis by compute using the software SPSS 11.5. On the base of the date, this paper measures residents' attitudes to tourism development and theirs perception of community problems importance rate, and analysis the correlation reliability between these two factors.
