REVIEW ON THE EVOLUTION OF RESILIENCE CONCEPT AND RESEARCH PROGRESS ON REGIONAL ECONOMIC RESILIENCE
LI Lian-gang, ZHANG Ping-yu, TAN Jun-tao, GUAN Hao-ming
Regional economic resilience is a hot topic in the field of economic geography and regional economics in recent years. It was used to explain why some regions can actively respond to external shocks and achieve sustainable economic development, others have been experiencing long-lasting economic recession. This paper, based on a review of literature, summarizes the conceptual evolution of resilience: engineering resilience, ecological resilience and evolutionary resilience. This concept has experienced a transition from equilibrium theory to evolution theory. This paper redefines the concept of regional economic resilience. We believe that regional economic resilience is the ability of the system to withstand shocks and avoid breaking away from development trajectory or to achieve sustained economic development through adaptation and recovery after the shock. Regional economic resilience is a continuous evolution process. This article discusses the three theoretical analysis methods of regional economic resilience, reviews the empirical research on the measurement and influencing factors of regional economic resilience and points out the shortcomings of existing research. The article emphasizes the urgent need to strengthen the research of resilience theory to clarify its conceptual connotation. Key words: resilience

UNDERSTANDING THE LIFESTYLE IN CHINESE CITIES: A FRAMEWORK BASED ON SPACE-TIME BEHAVIOR RESEARCH
TA Na, CHAI Yan-wei
The social and economic transition has brought dramatic changes to Chinese cities. Promoting human-oriented urbanization and development is receiving more and more attention. The core objectives of urban planning and development are increasingly focusing on refined social planning and management, targeted to improving the quality of life of residents. The changes in social structure and spatial organization have a profound impact on household structure and individual life, and improving living standards and quality of life has become the common pursuit of urban residents. Meanwhile, urban lifestyles show some specific features compared to Western countries, due to the interaction of market and institutional factors. Thus it is particularly important to understand the daily life of urban residents and analyze the interaction between urban space and residents' lifestyles. Based on the theoretical basis of lifestyle theory from sociology, time geography and activity-based approach, this paper analyzes the relationship between urban lifestyle and space-time behavior from the three dimensions, including behavioral background, decision-making mechanism and behavioral model.Based on the existing literature at home and abroad, this paper proposes to measure the lifestyle of Chinese cities using space-time behavior indicators. This paper further analyzes the connotation of behavioral background and decision-making process, and proposes an analytical framework for the impact mechanism of lifestyle in Chinese cities. Key words: space-time behavior

ACTIVITY PARTICIPATION IN THE HOUSEHOLD: GENDER DIFFERENCES IN JOINT AND SOLO ACTIVITIES OF HOUSEHOLD MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES
JIANG Chen, MAO Zi-dan, CHAI Yan-wei
Daily activities of individuals are embedded in complex context, constrained to both geographic and social environments. Previous studies have revealed significant gender differences in activity participation of individuals. From the perspective of intra-household labor division, this paper studies on the intrahousehold differences of time spent on household affairs. A dataset from activity diary survey of Beijing urban residents in 2007 is used in our analysis. Derived from the time geography theory, the paper demonstrates the activity order of household members by focusing on the home as a pocket of local order. By analyzing the time utilization of participation in household maintenance activities, results show that female household heads spend much more time than male household heads to do household maintenance activities, and male heads tend to spend more time participating in joint activities than solo activities. Using a multivariate tobit model, the paper confirms that social and geographical factors such as family structure, number of preschool children and location of house can influence the participation in solo and joint activities of household affairs. The analysis results confirm our hypothesis that, apart from social and geographic constraints, the gender differences in activity participation also results from intra-household interactions and labor division. Key words: joint activities

INFLUENCE OF NEIGHBORHOOD ENVIRONMENTAL PERCEPTION ON SELF-RATED HEALTH OF RESIDENTS IN CITIES OF CHINA: A CASE STUDY OF WUHAN
ZHANG Shu-yi, LIN Sai-nan, LI Zhi-gang, GUO Yan
With increasing awareness that environmental factors can impact health, the investigation of the environment as an important determinant of health is an emerging area of interest. Empirical evidence shows that differentiated and hierarchical neighbourhood environment is an important cause of health inequality and social stratification. Based on an in-depth investigation in Nanhu Street of Wuhan, this study examined the interaction mechanism between neighborhood environmental perception and residents' self-rated health. By using multiple regression analysis, this study further disclosed the differences between commercial and affordable housing neighborhoods in terms of the impacts of neighborhood environmental perceptions on self-rated health. Particularly, based on the in-depth fieldwork, we argued that residence community(Xiaoqu) was a more appropriate scale in China to define the neighborhood boundary instead of using the traditional "community" scale in the administrative definition. The results showed that: 1) After controlling individual factors, the neighborhood environmental perception showed independent and significant impact on the selfrated health. 2) Perception of social neighborhood environment had greater influence on the self-rated health than the perception of physical neighborhood environment. 3) Perception of sports and leisure facilities, sense of belonging and safety were significantly related to residents' self-rated health. 4) There were differences by comparing two different neighborhood types. Key words: neighborhood environmental perception

RESEARCH ON THE CONSUMPTION OF INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF CONSUMPTION GEOGRAPHY: TRADITIONAL HANDICRAFT OF MIAO EMBROIDERY IN ZIMEI FESTIVAL
ZHANG Han, SUN Jiu-xia
The research field of consumption geography has expanded greatly over the past three decades, transcending the traditional boundary between economy and culture, and gradually taking a dominant position. Geographies of consumption are marked by attention to a diverse range of studies underpinned by different theoretical traditions and perspectives which together provide insight into spatialities, socialities and subjectivities associated with consumption. This study focuses on the consumption practice of Miao embroidery, the intangible cultural heritage on traditional festivals. This paper interprets the consumption practice of Miao embroidery on a traditional festival-Zimei festival by using participatory observation and depth interview, from four dimensions (ground body, mobile body, settled space, temporary space). It is found that the consumption practice of Miao embroidery has an important influence on the transmission and metaphor of regional characteristics, functions and meanings of culture, the discourse and practice of consumption position the body in a specific space, which in turn affects the embodied consumption practice. In this case, the traditional ZimeiFestival provided the field of consumption for Miao embroidery, and in turn, the consumption practice of Miao embroidery deepened the meaning connotation of the traditional Zimei festival. As an important reality in the traditional life of the Miaopeople, Miao embroidery can be seen from this case that it has inheritance soil in the nation. Key words: consumption

RESEARCH ON THE INTEGRATION OF BEIJING SERVICE FACILITIES ACCESSIBILITY BASED ON THE NEEDS OF DISADVANTAGED GROUPS
XU Jing-xue, ZHANG Wen-zhong, CHEN Li, ZHAN Dong-sheng
Focusing on the attributes and needs of the population and exploring the social equity in the supply of service facilities are important topics in the study of service facilities in the new era. This is especially so for large cities with huge population, diverse social structures, and highly differentiated social spaces.Although studies on the demand of a single service facility by a certain vulnerable group are emerging constantly, the research on accessibility integration combined with residents' subjective demand for service facilities is still rare. This article takes Beijing as a case city. First using subjective survey data to analyze the demand structure of four kinds of vulnerable groups for public service facilities. Then, based on the POI data, this paper analyzes the comprehensive accessibility of public service facilities in Beijing under the preference of service facilities of the four disadvantaged groups based on GIS, and identifies the areas with poor comprehensive accessibility. This study comprehensive qualitative and quantitative methods, exploring reachability integration methods that match subjective and objective data.It can provide reference for future related research and provide theoretical support for Beijing to build a world-class harmonious and livable city. RESEARCH ON THE SPATIAL STABILIZATION AND ITS GOVERNANCE OF Xi'AN NEW URBAN POVERTY: FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF SPATIAL JUSTICE
DAI Lan-hai, XUE Dong-qian, SONG Yong-yong, MA Bei-bei
Drawing on the ideas of class solidification, this paper attempts to define and construct the poverty stabilization index (PSI) to measure the spatial stabilization of urban poverty of Xi'an. Based on the questionnaire data of Xi'an on the scale of sub-districts in 1990, 2000, and 2013, adopting the poverty comprehensive index and applying the above constructed PSI, with the support of GIS spatial analysis, this paper explores the spatial-temporal evolution and stabilization trend of poverty space of Xi'an. And, from the perspective of spatial justice, the governance schemes on spatial stabilization of Xi'an new urban poverty is proposed. The results show that: 1) Over the 1990-2013 period, the new urban poverty level of Xi'an has been continuously reduced, the spatial distribution of poverty is obviously heterogeneous. 2) The spatial stabilization of new urban poverty in Xi'an is taking shape and the streets with high poverty stabilization index are concentrated at recession zones in inner city (e.g., Jiefangmen sub-district). 3) The governance on spatial stabilization of Xi'an new urban poverty, under the guidance of urban spatial production value justice, urban spatial production institution justice, and urban spatial distribution policy justice, should establish a starting point-process-result trinity guarantee system of spatial justice to ensure the fairness and justness in urban space production. EVALUATION ON EFFECT OF NATIONAL ACCURATE POVERTY ALLEVIATION POLICY ON RURAL POOR HOUSEHOLDS: BASED ON DOUBLE DIFFERENCE MODE
CAI Jin, YU Yang-chun, QIU Ji-qin
With the thorough implementation of National Accurate Poverty Alleviation Policy across the country, how to measure the change of peasant household income in poor areas and find out the key factors that affect the growth of income, so as to provide better suggestions for "one family one policy". This paper is based on the survey data of poor and non-poor rural poor households in Wuling mountainous area and Qinba mountainous area of Chongqing, and the double difference model is used to test the effect of Accurate Poverty Alleviation Policy on the income growth of the rural poor households. The results show that under the support of Accurate Poverty Alleviation Policy, the per capita net income of rural poor households increased significantly. What's more, their income gap is further narrowing compared with non rural poor households. Their major household income source changed from a single channel to multi-channel, and the average per capita income of the crop farming and livestock breeding grows most rapidly which account for 61.87%. The factors such as the age, family population, the number of the elderly and children, agricultural acreage, radius of farming, whether to develop characteristic industries etc, have significant influence on the per capita net income of rural poor households. The key to guarantee the rural poor households to get rid of poverty and increase income continually is to develop characteristic industries and solve the problem for rural poor households in the aspect of education, medical care, housing and land abandonment. STUDY ON THE CITY NETWORK BASED ON VALUE CHAIN DIVISION OF CHINESE FILM INDUSTRY
WEN Hu, ZHANG Qiang-guo, SU Xu
Distinguished from the western developed countries, China has its own institutional and cultural surroundings of the film industry as well as a long history. We constructed city network based on the data of Chinese film industrial value chain divisions and connections by choosing Chinese films whose box offices accounted for more than 75% annually from 2003 to 2015 as samples. On this basis, we further analyzed structural characteristics of city network and the reasons for the formation with social network analysis. It was indicated that: firstly, the city network included 84 nodes of cities (59 domestic cities as well as 25 overseas cities) and 883 lines among cities (repeated connections not included) and the density of the city network was only 0.25, which demonstrated that connections between cities were relatively sparse. Secondly, the city network took on a "core-periphery" structure with "one center and two sub centers". Beijing was the main core, Hong Kong and Shanghai were the sub cores, and other 81 cities such as Taipei, Seoul and Shenzhen were on the periphery. Thirdly, connections within the city network were mainly vertical concerning various links of the value chain and horizontal connections in minority. To be more specific, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen had vertical and horizontal connections in value chain with Beijing. Seoul, Taipei and Bangkok connected with Beijing mostly based on vertical cooperation of the value chain while Guangzhou, Tianjin, and Jinhua related with Beijing on mostly horizontal cooperation of the value chain. Fourthly, the triple attributes of culture, commerce and politics of the Chinese film industry deeply affected its structural characteristics of city network. In conclusion, our study broadened the source of city network data and polished the study of city network based on the headquarter-subsidiary relations. Key words: city network

STUDY ON STATE SPATIAL SELECTIVITY OF URBAN AGGLOMERATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF NEW STATE SPACE THEORY
MA Xue-guang, TANG Cheng-hui
Under the background of economic globalisation, the theory of New state space view the country as a stage for the construction of a series of social and political processes rather than a fixed container, and guides the dynamic process of state spatial reconstruction through spatial selectivity. Based on the New state space theory, urban agglomerations are placed in the macro background of socio-economic transition and their spatial production and construction of state spatial projects and state spatial strategies are analyzed, and their spatial effects are tentatively discussed. The main conclusions of this paper can be summarized as follows: 1) The urban agglomeration is a specific form of state spatial selectivity. The background, basis and construction strategy of the agglomeration reflect the connotation and evolution path of the state spatial selectivity. As a new form of urban and regional governance, it is the national response to the urban enterprise crisis. 2) The production and construction strategies of China's urban agglomerations are characterized by strong government dominance, experimentation and delamination, and thus become part of the state spatial selectivity. 3) China's urban agglomerations achieve innovations in management functions, models, and systems through state spatial projects such as the adjustment of administrative divisions, the setting up of special management agencies, and the establishment of informal networks of intergovernmental cooperation, and the use of space planning, public policy and The state spatial strategies such as concessions and infrastructure investment and construction has accelerated capital accumulation, which has given priority to development and promoted coordinated regional development. AN ANALYSIS OF RURAL SETTLEMENT EVOLUTION AND SOCIOECONOMIC AFFECT FACTORS IN NORTH CHINA PLAIN
YANG Yong, DENG Xiang-zheng, WU Feng, CHEN Tong
The North China Plain being a major grain producer is considered as an important agricultural region in China. Based on the classification of remote sensing images, and applying rank-size model, the Lorenz curve, landscape index, and a panel data regression model, the evolution characters of rural settlement and its main drivers were quantitatively examined from 2000 to 2015 in this paper. The main findings indicated that the spatial distribution of rural settlement showed regional differentiation and agglomeration characteristics, and the density in southern was high and in northern was low, the results also showed a local negative correlation with scale distribution, development of scale in heterogeneous states, and the size of rural settlements in higher rank developed faster. Furthermore, spatial evolution of landscape index of rural settlements indicates that the patch density increased area, the increased area of MPS, and MNN increased area were respectively, located in northern, southeast, and southern parts of the study area. Also, the patch's shape showed regular, however, the average patch fractal dimension tends to be complicated in middle and southern part. The PSSD decreased area was relatively centralized, while its increased area was relatively scattered. The increase in rural population and number of households were the main drivers of residential area expansion. The first industrial added value and urbanization rate also positively influenced the residential development. On the other hand, the rural active labor force, rural per capita net income and rural electricity consumption showed negative impact on the increase of resident areas. Key words: rural settlement

STUDY ON THE RECONSTRUCTION OF MULTI-VALUE SPACE IN POST-PRODUCTIVIST COUNTRYSIDE: A CASE STUDY OF MASHAN TOWN IN WUXI
YAO Juan, MA Xiao-dong
The study of rural transformation is of great significance for rural revitalization and urban-rural integration. In the context of China's rapid industrialization and urbanization during the past few decades, rural transformation is a process of accompanying rural economic development and rural spatial transformation. Based on the explanations of the connotation and characteristics of post-productivist countryside, this paper takes Mashan town located in the suburbs of Wuxi as an example and utilizes the land use profiles of Mashan town in different periods of time. Using the methods of comparison of maps and literature analysis, this paper compares the villages from productivism to post-productivism in order to analyze the changes of rural economic form, functional layout and landscape. The main results are summed up as follows: Firstly, this study shows that post-productivist villages are characterized by non-agriculturalization, multi-functionality, ecologicalization and space commercialization. Secondly, in the past 30 years, the development of Mashan town from traditional village to rural industrialization then to eco-tourism resort island is also the process of gradually developing from a productivist village to a post-productivist countryside. Thirdly, with the wave of globalization, consumer culture is spreading in China. Key words: post-productivist countryside

AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON THE INFLUENCE OF PUSH-PULL MOTIVATION AND EXISTENTIAL AUTHENTICITY ON LOYALTY: A CASE STUDY OF FUJIAN EARTH BUILDINGS
YI Xiao-li, LAN Tian-yi, ZHENG Chun-hui
Previous studies have proved the relationship between cultural motivation, existential authenticity (mainly intrapersonal authenticity) and tourists' loyalty. They only considered the push motivations but ignored pull motivations, and they also did not consider the interpersonal authenticity. When simultaneously considering the push-pull motivation, intrapersonal and interpersonal authenticity, there are still some research gaps. This paper takes a world cultural heritage site-Fujian Earth Buildings, as a case study in that it has unique traditional architectures, and a large number of aboriginal residents are still living in them and continue their traditional lifestyle. Based on relevant theories, this paper builds two conceptual models. The first conceptual model is about push and pull motivation-existential authenticity-tourists' loyalty. The results show that the push and pull motivation are closely and significantly related with each other

MEASUREMENT RESEARCH OF PARENT-CHILD TOURIST MOTIVATIONS BASED ON THE THEORY OF FAMILY SYSTEM: AN EXAMPLE OF NAN JING HONGSHAN FOREST ZOO
REN Xiao-li, ZHONG Shi-en, HUANG Pei-hong, ZHANG Shuo
The model of measuring traditional tourism motivation based on the individual tourism perspective cannot effectively explain the parent-child group tourism phenomenon. Based on the family system theory and taking Hongshan forest zoo in Nanjing city as an example, this paper constructs a scale of measuring parent-child tourism motivation among "promoting family relationship-strengthening children's education-individual positive experience-individual negative experience". The results show that: first, the study of parentchild group tourism motivation needs to change from the traditional individual tourism perspective to the targeted group tourism perspective. Second, the parent-child tourism motivation possess obvious parent-child features, including strengthening children's education through parent-child tourism activities and promoting family relations. Third, in parent-child tourism, a common family leisure activity, the order of importance of tourism motivation is "to strengthen children's education" > "to promote family relations" > "individual positive experience" > "individual negative experience". In addition, different demographic characteristics show that although there are some differences in parent-child tourism motivation, its main motivation is to strengthen children's education and promote family relations two aspects.
