3 SPACE-TIME BEHAVIOR SURVEYS: STATE-OF-THE-ART AND PROSPECTS
CHAI Yan-wei, CHEN Zi-feng
Space-time behavior as a well-established construct in urban studies and planning has received increasing scholarly attention since being proposed in early 1970s. The studies of space-time behavior, facilitated by individual activity-travel data, have constituted an effective theoretical lens to decipher the associations between human behavior and geographical spaces. More recently, researchers have endeavored to inform policies and planning through analyses of space-time behavior data, as well as to generalize empirical findings into new discourses on how human behavior interacts with geographical spaces. These attempts necessitate an effort to collect large-sized and real-time data for realistic planning programs, as well as longitudinal data to validate causality between geographical spaces and human behavior. This paper presents a review of state-of-the-art of space-time behavior surveys. It articulates that beyond paper-based questionnaires as the most commonly used data collection method, the fast development of GPS tracking technologies in the recent decades has enabled collection of high-resolution data and realistic travelling trajectories. Also, space-time behavior surveys have increasingly expanded their focuses to subjective and socio-cultural aspects of human behavior, as well as social and environmental implications of space-time behavior. Through identifying the challenges and prospects confronting space-time behavior surveys, this paper highlights the needs to integrate space-time behavior surveys with big data and to conduct qualitative and longitudinal surveys in the future studies in order to facilitate planning applications and theory development. The review and prospects presented in this paper can also inform future studies of space-time behavior in Chinese cities.

11 SPATIO-TEMPORAL SCALAR TRAPS IN GEOGRAPHICAL STUDIES OF SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING
WANG Feng-long
Scale is an important yet overlooked concept in geography. However, few studies have examined the scale problem in the emerging geographical studies of subjective well-being (SWB). Based on previous geographical research on the concept of scale and the scalar laws, in combination with the theoretical and empirical studies on SWB, this paper systematically reflects the scalar traps in research on SWB. The scalar traps are mainly manifested as the paradox of scale selection and mis-match among real, analytic and practical scales. First, the measurement of regional level of SWB needs to consider the methods of aggregation, and the intrinsic scales of the geographical factors affecting SWB and the invariable scale for effects of these geographical factors. Second, when analyzing the impacts of geographical environment on SWB, we should not only appropriately deal with the scalar variance of research findings and the integration of research conclusions at different spatial scales, but also avoid the mis-match between the real scale of forming SWB and the analytic scale of geographical factors that influence SWB. Third, individuals will improve their SWB through rescaling and scalar politics such as trade-offs among family members and tactic selection of social groups for comparison.

20 A SURVEY OF PLACE-BASED AND INFRASTRUCTURE-BASED POLICIES FOR MITIGATING URBAN TRAFFIC CONGESTION
ZHANG Wen-jia, WANG Mei-mei
Traffic congestion is a critical urban issue that restricts sustainable development of large cities in China and around the world, resulting in negative economic, social and environmental influences. This article investigates the structural factors of traffic congestion under the perspective of sustainable travel behavior in space and time. We focus on two supply-side policies, including place-based policies (urban spatial structure and land use policies) and infrastructure-based policies (investment policies of road infrastructure and public transportation infrastructure). We systematically examine the major research arguments, theoretical insights, empirical findings, and urgent research issues related to the studies of traffic congestion. Findings suggest that the existing research of place-based policies mainly focuses on the impact of compact land use patterns (e.g., land use density, land use mixture, and urban growth boundary) and polycentric urban spatial structure (e.g., the number and distribution of employment centers, jobs-housing balance) on traffic congestion. While spatial policies have multiple scales, few studies have integrated variant geographical scales together to evaluate anti-congestion policies. As to the infrastructure strategies, many studies in the developed countries have focused on the effects of the expansion of infrastructure volume on induced travel outcomes, and developed the so-called "fundamental law of highway congestion". This "law" suggests that building more roads may not relieve rather aggravate traffic congestion due to the induced travel. In addition, existing studies on the anti-congestion efficiency of improving public transport facilities reveal that the effects of bus and transit infrastructure are different, varying with the developmental stages of the public transit system.

27 ASSOCIATIONS OF SOCIAL INTERACTION WITH LIFE SATISFACTION UNDER THE NOTION OF NEIGHBORHOOD EFFECT: A MULTILEVEL PATH ANALYSIS FOR RESIDENTS FROM 26 RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITIES IN BEIJING
YANG Jie, TAO Yin-hua, LIU Zhi-lin, CHAI Yan-wei
With the rapid urbanization and residents' increasing living standards, subjective well-being, as a key aspect of social sustainable development, has been widely discussed. Employing daily activity and subjective well-being survey data in Beijing, this study takes the residential neighborhood as the geographic context to analyze the holistic relationship among neighborhood environment, social interaction and life satisfaction. The results from multilevel path analysis indicate that after controlling individual and household socioeconomic attributes, the direct effect of built environment on life satisfaction is mild, among which only the park accessibility shows a significant and positive correlation with life satisfaction. Social interaction has been proved to partly explain the pathway linking physical environment with life satisfaction. Increased access to parks and public facilities leads to more frequent social interaction and closer neighborly relationship, and thus improving life satisfaction. Perceived air pollution and noise exposure not only directly link to life satisfaction, but also indirectly relate with life satisfaction through the mediation of interaction with neighbors.

35 THE EVOLUTION OF JOB-HOUSING RELATIONSHIP AMONG RESIDENTS OF DIFFERENT HOUSING PROPERTIES IN THE TRANSITION PERIOD: A CASE STUDY IN SUBURBAN SHANGHAI
LIN Shu-ting, TA Na
Job-housing relationship is one of the most important topics in urban studies. In the last decades Chinese cities have seen the phenomenal rise of job and residential mobility and the home-work separation becomes more acute under the background of institutional transformation. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the spatial and temporal evolution of job-housing relationship among residents of different housing properties from a microscopic scale, which would be conducive to understand the deep-seated mechanism of social spatial reconstruction in Chinese cities. However, so far there has been limited empirical research on it. Based on the perspective of time geography, this paper attempts to contribute to such gap by using a retrospective questionnaire survey data of the suburbs of Shanghai. We divide residents into three groups according to the housing properties and investigate the temporal and spatial characteristics of the changes in jobhousing relationship of residents in the past 20 years. Then we summarize the spatial and temporal evolution pattern of job-housing relationship and establish multiple regression models to analyze its influence factors. The results show that the changes of the job-housing relationship among residents of different housing properties are divided.

46 THE INFLUENCE OF MEDICAL FACILITY ACCESSIBILITY ON RESIDENTS' HEALTH SEEKING BEHAVIORS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF AGE STRATIFICATION: A CASE STUDY OF SHANGHAI CHONGMING ISLAND
SHEN Yue, LI Liang
From the perspective of space, discussing the impact of accessibility of medical resources on health seeking behavior is conducive to a better understanding of residents' decision-making mechanism for health seeking behavior, and to explore the supply and demand relationship between health seeking behavior and medical resources. This study takes Chongming Island of Shanghai as a study case, using primary survey data to analyze the differences of health seeking behavior among different age groups from the perspective of age stratification. Combined with two-step floating catchment area method, this paper discusses the influence of the accessibility of medical facilities on the choice of medical institutions and habitual health seeking behavior distance of residents in Chongming Island, and the differences in the influence mechanism between different age groups are revealed. The study found that the medical facilities accessibility has a significant impact on residents' health seeking behavior, and the impact on different age groups is significantly different. Accessibility has a particularly significant impact on the health seeking behavior of the elderly, middle-aged people are affected by spatial factors and socioeconomic attributes, and gender differences are more prominent.

55 THE STUDY ON THE NEEDS OF SERVICE FACILITY FOR CHILD-RAISING PEOPLE IN BEIJING'S LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME COMMUNITIES
CHEN Li, XIE Yang-yang, ZHAN Dong-sheng, DANG Yun-xiao, ZHANG Wen-zhong
Understanding resident' demand for Service facilities is the foundation of building community life circle and complete community. Existing studies mainly focus on the spatial allocation or evaluation of service facilities supply, little is known about the demand of specified people for service facilities, especially for the child-rearing population and other subgroups. This paper discusses what kind of service facilities the community should provide for the child-rearing population. Based on the 2017 Fairness and Inclusion Questionnaire Survey in middle and low-income communities of Beijing, this paper uses the ordered logit model to analyze their demand and preference for 10 types of facilities. The results show that the demand and visit frequency for various facilities of child-rearing population are higher than other people, and there are notable gender differences in them. Two-child families are more dependent on service facilities than one-child families, and the demands also vary across families with children in different ages. Finally, this paper puts forward a classification system of the service facilities needed by the child-rearing population, which is aiming at providing evidence for the fine planning of community service facilities.

63 STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DINING ACTIVITIES OF BEIJING RESIDENTS AND URBAN SPACE BASED ON MULTI-SOURCE BIG DATA
LIU Jian, MENG Bin, CHEN Si-yu, ZHAN Dong-sheng, CHEN Zhe
This paper constructs a residential spatiotemporal behavior research framework that combines text information mining technology and spatial analysis. By obtaining the Sina Weibo data of Beijing residents in 2017, using the text classification model combining BERT and fast.AI, combining with the LDA model for text theme mining. Analyze the spatial pattern of residents' daily dining activities, and use spatial analysis methods and the Geodetector to explore its influencing factors. The study concluded that the residents' dining activities can be divided into 4 categories of topics, namely friends gathering, daily catering, general catering and special catering. The spatial analysis found that the four types of theme dining activities are mainly distributed within the Third Ring Road, forming a hierarchical distribution pattern centered on the Workers' Stadium-Chaowai-CBD business district. Meanwhile, various theme dining activities also have the common characteristics of dense distribution along important business districts, famous blocks, popular attractions, and large shopping malls. Residents' dining choices have the strongest consistency with the spatial distribution of catering service facilities. It is found that there is a spatial co-location model between residents' dining activities and the urban spatial structure combined with POI data.

73 TOURISTS' SPATIAL-TEMPORAL BEHAVIOR AND CONSERVATION EDUCATIONAL PERCEPTION: A CASE STUDY OF THE OCEAN PARK IN HONG KONG
ZHAO Ying, WANG Jia-ming, MAO Zi-dan
The traditional time-space behavior research is based on the hypothesis of homogeneous individuals. Since the emergence of an emotion turn in geography, the topics of well-being, motivation or emotion are discussed in time geography. In tourism, tourists' spatial-temporal behavior is impacted by both objective constraints and subjective preferences. The analysis of tourists' emotion will be helpful to understand the interaction between environment and behavior. This study focuses on the conservation educational perception, a typical emotion during tourism, with an empirical study in the Ocean Park of Hong Kong. The survey was conducted in May 2019 including spatial-temporal behavioral tracking and grouping experiments. After oneweek survey and data cleaning, 264 GPS tracking data and 129 experimental samples were included in the analysis. The results show four visitors' spatial-temporal behavior patterns were identified by K-means Cluster analysis, which are named as positive-learning, negative-learning, positive-interaction and negative-interaction. For visitors' behavior, visiting exhibitions with positive emotions can encourage visitors to visit more diverse educational attractions, and interactive activities extend stay duration in these exhibitions. For conservation educational perception, visitors' perception level varies across activity participations in different environments. Both positive-interactive and negative-learning visits increase perception level. The environment of attractions and visitors' behavior mainly affect visitors' educational perception at the knowledge and attitude level, but the influence is not significantly at the behavior level.

XU Zhen-yu, ZHANG Xin-xin, CAO Rong, YANG Peng-peng
As a collective of human political, economic and cultural activities, cities are vulnerable to the disturbance of external risk factors and the change of internal structure because of the complex system structure of interconnection which provides convenience for human production and life. This paper analyzes the cooperation between authors and institutions of the resilient city at home and abroad, grasps the knowledge base, identifies the research hotspot, and predicts the evolution trend, which is conducive to the theoretical progress and practical optimization. Based on the analysis of the cooperation between the core institutions and the authors, the paper takes the literature of the web of science database and CSSCI database from 2000 to 2019 as samples, and draws the research co-cited network and co-occurrence of keywords by using the methods of bibliometric and knowledge visualization. It was found that "K-karyotype" research subnetworks have been formed among different authors and institutions at home and abroad, and other subnetworks have a trend of further evolution. In addition, the research on resilience has been extended from the field of ecology to the field of social ecology, focusing on the assessment of disaster risk resilience, especially the role of the relationship between individuals or groups and the soft factors in psychological and spiritual aspects in improving the resilience of cities and communities. Resilience research from the perspective of geography, especially evolutionary economic geography, regional resilience assessment, and measurement of temporal and spatial differentiation, have also become the research focus of resilience cities at home and abroad.

XIONG Ying, XU Fang-zheng, LIU Dan, WEI Xiao, HOU Ke-lun
As an important node in the promotion of urban-rural integration and the implementation of rural revitalization strategies, rural communities, which act as the basic socio-economic units and are typical compound social economic-natural ecosystems, are an organic carrier for coordinating urban and rural development and promoting new urbanization. It is an important "testing ground" for realizing the equalization of urban and rural public services and narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas, and has been studied more actively in recent years. Through the review of relevant literature and systematic induction, this paper sorts out the research hot areas and related results of rural communities in China in recent years, analyzes the main progress and existing problems in this field based on CiteSpace, and proposes the direction and focus of future research. Rural community research has made progress in theoretical construction, governance systems, construction models, planning strategies, and research methods. However, there are still insufficient theoretical summaries, relatively simple governance systems, and the depth of process mechanism research needs to be strengthened. Issues such as insufficient use of scientific methods and big data. Future research focuses include:The refinement of rural community governance, the coordinated development model of rural communities and ecological protection, the innovation of rural community governance technical means, the integration of big data and spatial analysis methods, etc. Based on the current research progress of rural communities, this article hopes to provide references for deepening the theoretical research of rural communities, expanding research fields and promoting the development of rural communities.

127 THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE REPRESENTATION AND THE NONREPRESENTATION IN HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL BLOCKS: A CASE STUDY OF THE CULTURAL MEANING CHANGE OF XISI HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL BLOCK IN BEIJING
CHENG Zhi-fen, ZHOU Shang-yi
Historical and cultural block is an important carrier of Chinese traditional culture. A large number of historical block protection theories derive from architectural studies all around the world. With the indepth interdisciplinary development, scholars in architecture start to realize that the protection of historical and cultural blocks should attach more attention to the relationship between users and buildings. This paper takes historical and cultural blocks as landscapes, and analyzes the meaning inheritance attached to the buildings after changes occurred on their users and usage. This paper takes Xisi historical and cultural block in Beijing as the research area, and adopts Representational theory and Non-representational theory to investigate the local residents' understanding on the significances of this regional architectural entity through questionnaires and interviews. Besides, this paper reflects on the role that have been taken by the locals, and nevertheless, their practical cultural significances. The conclusions of this paper are as follows:Firstly, the representational cultures of Beijing historical and cultural block are basically the traditional etiquette cultures, auspicious and inspirational cultures, ethical cultures embodied in the form of architectural entity. Secondly, the residents living in the historical and cultural block do not fully understand the meaning of the above-mentioned token cultures. Thirdly, apart from the representational cultures, the non-representational cultures from the local residents' body and daily practice are similar to the harmony and the order between traditional etiquette and custom cultures.

136 TIME USE RESEARCH OF WORKERS' DAILY ACTIVITIES IN BEIJING: A COMPARISON BETWEEN 2007 AND 2017
DUANMU Yi-bo, CHAI Yan-wei
The time use research, served as an important dimension for understanding human activities and arrangements, has played a significant role in improving the quality of life. Previous studies have described and interpreted the impact of urbanization in urban China from the perspective of individuals' time use. However, few researches focus on the changes of time use patterns using cross-data in different years. This paper explores changes in time use of workers living in Beijing in the past 10 years. The datasets are based on the data from two activity-travel diary surveys conducted in Beijing in 2007 and 2017. The dataset finally comprise data with one-day activity-travel dairy from 809 individuals in 2007 and 668 individuals in 2017. Descriptive statistics, spatial analysis and regressive analysis are used to analyze the changes in time use. Firstly, the results show that time allocation has changed in the past 10 years; workers in 2017 spend relatively long time on individual activities and traveling, while the time spent on work, housework, leisure and shopping has significantly decreased. Secondly, the changes of space-time behavior patterns varies among people with different demographic backgrounds, for example, the difference in time duration of work between men and women decreases, and the difference in frequency of personal care between young people and the elderly increased. Finally, regression analysis shows that the influence of gender, age, education level and housing source on time use is weaker than that of 10 years ago.

HU Guo-jian, LU Yu-qi, WU Xiao-ying, LI En-kang
Domestic and international studies of urban networks from the perspective of enterprises mainly build networks based on intra-firm sectoral organizational relationships, rarely focusing on the real factor flow linkages between enterprises. Therefore, this paper firstly combs different kinds of enterprise linkages and their advantages and disadvantages in constructing urban networks, and then constructs urban networks in the Yangtze River Economic Zone based on the block transactions of listed companies in 2013-2018, and analyzes urban networks and their changing characteristics from the real capital linkages among enterprises. The study shows that:1) The capital flow has the characteristic of clustering to a few cities. 2) The structure of the urban network in the Yangtze River Delta has undergone a low-high-low development. 3) The Yangtze River Delta city cluster has a relatively developed and well-connected network structure,

155 STUDY ON INTERACTIVE PATTERN AND DYNAMIC TRANSITION OF OUTBOUND TOURISM MARKET IN CHINA AND ITS SURROUNDING COUNTRIES
MA Xiao-long, CHEN Ling-jing, WEI Nan, ZHANG Li-tian
The research on the relationship among countries' outbound tourism market is an important means of precision marketing and circumferential management, which is of great significance to the implementation of national strategies. Based on the tourism data of 1995, 2005, and 2017 released by UNWTO, 22 countries in the Asian-Pacific region are selected to construct the interactive networks. Using the centrality analysis of social network analysis, three indicators are chosen including degree centrality, closeness centrality and betweenness centrality to show the relatedness, accessibility, and interactivity characteristics of outbound tourism networks, aiming to find the power position and its transition of the countries in the region. The research results show that, in the past 23 years, the communication of China and its surrounding countries improves, countries participant in the interactions actively to share the benefits of international tourism. From the results of cross-section data, the interactive pattern is rather polarized. Several strong countries dominant and weak countries follow. The international status and influence of China rise firstly and then fall. According to the research results, the reasons of the rise of China's status from 1995 to 2005 are economic development and open foreign policy. And the fall of China's status from 2005 to 2017 is mainly because that Chinese outbound passenger flows are mainly concentrated in East Asia and Southeast Asia, lacking extensive exchanges with other regions, while the outbound tourism exchanges of other countries in the region are expanding and outbound passenger flows are gradually dispersing during this period.

SHI Peng-fei, MING Qing-zhong, HAN Jian-lei, LUO Deng-shan
In the context of the trend of personalized, emotional and spiritual consumption of tourism, nonutilitarian demand shows great potential for development, which brings new opportunities for the development of mountain tourism with rich non-utilitarian characteristics. The article puts forward a new concept of non-utilitarian experience of mountain tourism, places tourists in the mountain tourism situation and applies grounded theory to encode the online travels information of the Yulong Snow Mountain step by step, The author abstracts 21 categories, 7 main categories and the core category of "internal experience of self-success", explores the connotation of non-utilitarian experience of mountain tourism, and studies its development process and implementation methods. The research shows that:The non-utilitarian experience of mountain tourism is caused by the spiritual guidance of the mountain tourism field to highlight the psychological tension of the tourists and then go to the mountain tourism destination. It is an internal experience process that deeply integrates into the mountainous situation in the change of emotions and feelings, which includes discovering yourself, showing yourself and achieving yourself.

184 A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH ON CONSUMERS'S ADOPTION OF PEER-TO-PEER ACCOMMODATION BASED ON GROUNDED THEORY
LU Dong, ZENG Xiao-qiao, XU Guo-wei
As an emerging business model, peer-to-peer accommodation developed with the rising of the sharing economy. Compared with traditional accommodation, the peer-to-peer accommodation has more advantages in price and can provide "home benefits", so it is favored by more and more consumers. However, there is still a lack of systematic research on the willingness of peer-to-peer accommodation adoption in Chinese culture and market situations. Therefore, this paper bases on the grounded theory method and uses the qualitative analysis software NVivo10 to analyze the original interview data, extracts the main factors and impact mechanism. The results suggest that the pull factors (product & service quality, social influence, platform capability and variety), and the push factors (authenticity, safety, economic benefit and personal knowledge) are preconditions for subjective psychological feelings (enjoyment, trust and perceived usefulness), and then subjective psychological feelings determine the consumer's willingness to consumption and recommendation of peer-to-peer accommodation. This study contributes to the literature by analyzing and uncovering the reasons that consumer choose peer-to-peer accommodation, and practical guidance for the marketing activities of peer-to-peer accommodation platforms.
