本文根据客观实际提出了经济级的概念,并以山西省为实例探讨了经济级的划分方法。按综合性和相似性原则,用数学方法对山西省的经济级从粗、次粗、中、细几个角度进行了划分。划分的角度不同,划分出的级数就不同,详细程度就不同,不同的经济级代表着不同的经济水平。经济级对认识一地区的生产能力和潜力以及人们改造自然、制订经济政策、进行经济区划有意义。

Acording to objective reality, the paper puts forward the conception of economic grade and goes into the method of how to classify economic grade. By means of mathematical method, the paper divides economic grade into several types from the angles of rough, medium and minute respects. Different angles of classifying will have different results in number of economic grade. Different economic grade means defferent level in economic development. Economic grade is very significant for realizing one region's productional capacity, for remaking nature, for making out economic policies and for carrying out economic divesions.
