Abstract:Research on innovation network is mainly focus on its spatial scale, evolution and interaction mechanism. Based on the existing research, this paper make comprehensive review from different perspectives on innovation network and suggest some possible research directions for future research. 1)From perspective of network spatial scales, on one hand, most researches only focus on different spatial scale but neglect the integration of multi-scale network; On the other hand, emphasizes network model of developed countries, while overlook theoretical conclusion of specific structure and path of developing countries. 2) From network evolution perspective, research priorities turn from evolution of actor position to various network relations. The evolution of actor structure mainly focus on position change of actors in innovation network, or built up relations between network position and regional innovation, while meaningful, but neglect the evolution meaning of the whole network. 3)From network mechanism perspective, existing research mainly focus on multi-proximity, network governance and external innovation context. Proximity framework has been apply to different research field, multi-proximity is considered to have interaction with innovation and there exist complementary relations among various proximity; Network governance realize through coordination of organizational innovation activities, main ways of network governance include internal control, inter-firm coordination and external negotiation. While these research give more focus on function mechanism, external regional control and local situation of different activities in different areas. While problems of comprehensive analysis of multi-proximity, multi-organizational network governance and interaction of the specific circumstances of China into global network context still need further discussion. It can be conclude that, research on innovation network is mainly focus on time and space, evolution and mechanism, which provides new perspective for research in sociology, management and other disciplines.
