按照本文确定的矿业城市标准,我国现有矿业城市的数量为129个。本文对按照矿业类型划分的八类矿业城市发展现状进行比较。总体上看,矿业城市的发展状况比非矿业城市差,低于全国城市的平均水平;在矿业城市中,不同类型发展情况不同,石油城市在经济效益、财政收入、基础设施建设、在岗职工工资及利用外资能力等方面都是发展最好的,并且许多方面超过了全国城市的平均水平,其余类型的矿业城市发展较差,但不同类型发展状况不同,即使同一类型的矿业城市发展状况也不一样。矿业城市发展状况的不同为制定矿业城市转型政策提供了基础和依据。

There are 129 mining cities at present in China according to established criteria. In the light of different classifying standards, the 129 mining cities are divided into different types. By means of mining, eight mining cities are sorted which including coal city, oil city, colored metallurgy city, chemistry industrial city, building materials city, gold city and compound city. According to the reason of forming, mining cities are divided into two kinds, which are supporting mining city and non-supporting mining city. According to developing stage, mining cities are divided into infancy mining city, midlife mining city and aged mining city. At last, this paper comparatively analyzed the developing status of deferent mining cities. Generally speaking, the situation of the mining city is not as good as the non-mining city. Among the mining cities, different mining city is in different developing situation. The oil city among the mining cities is most developed in economic benefit, financial income, infrastructure construction, wage level, and the ability of making the use of the foreign capital. The majority of the rest mining cities are in poor developing status, they are in high investment, low production, and low benefit. Because of the "one high and two low", the mining city have low financial income, poor infrastructure, low wage for laborer, and poor investment of foreign capital. The study also shows that even if the same type of mining cities, the developing situation is different. The different developing status is the basis for making transition countermeasures.
