SPATIO-TEMPORAL SYNERGISTIC RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TRAFFIC LOCATION EVOLUTION AND SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT INTENSITY AND ITS ELASTIC IDENTIFICATION: A CASE STUDY OF CHONGQING

Abstract:Transportation location condition is an important index reflecting regional social and economic development status and development potential. Taking Chongqing as an example, this paper chooses two time sections in 2005 and 2015 to reveal the interaction between traffic location evolution and spatial development intensity by means of index modeling, regression fitting and elasticity coefficient. The study finds: 1) The traffic location index of the study area is in a rapid jump stage. 2) The spatial agglomeration characteristics of traffic location index are obvious and the dispersion is reduced. 3) Different types of traffic location index (internal traffic index, external traffic index and comprehensive traffic index) have significant positive correlation with spatial development intensity index, and the correlation shows different states. 4) The evolution of traffic location is closely related to the change of spatial development intensity, and the interaction between them is more sensitive.
