城市旅游是发生在城市中的各种旅游活动的总称,对于旅游产业来说,则是指旅游者在城市中所有的物质与精神消费活动,它已日益成为当代旅游的主体。城市旅游发展是由旅游消费牵动和旅游产品吸引构成,并由中介系统和条件支持系统所联系的动力系统所推动的。为了培育城市旅游发展动力,必须根据现代旅游供求关系,从城市旅游动力组合中,找出推动旅游发展的主动因素和辅助因素,建立不同类型城市的旅游发展动力模型,指导旅游与城市经济共同发展的动力机制培育。

Urban tourism refers to all kinds of tourism activities that place in city. As to the industry,it refers to all the physical and spiritual consumption of tourists that takes place in city,and it becomes the main part of the modern tourism day by day. The urban tourism development is driven by a driving force system that composed by the push from the consumption of tourists,the pull from the attraction of the products of tourism, and the tourism medium and the conditions of development relate them. To train the developing forces of urban tourism and guide the training of driving mechanism for the common development of the tourism and urban economy,it is necessary to find out the main factors and the assistant factors that drive the tourism development from the combination of attractions of urban tourism, analysis it according to the relation between supply and demand,and set up driving models of development for different kind of cities.
