1 A PROGRESS REPORT ON PLATFORM URBANISM RESEARCH IN WESTERN SOCIETIES AND ITS IMPLICATIONS
LI Zhen-ting, LIU Chen
This paper outlines the definition of platform urbanism and main research foci around this conception, and then suggests future directions of platform city studies in the Chinese context on the basis of a review of existing Anglophone literature on the digital-urban interfaces. The idea of platform urbanism emphasizes that the interaction of platform and city assembles a platform ecosystem. The research of platform urbanism from the perspective of political economy not only focuses on the platformization of urban social activities and the related problems caused by the dominance of technological capital, but also emphasizes the agencies of digital platforms, public authorities and users co-constitute the operation of platforms in urban lives. The research of platform urbanism from the ‘digital mundane' perspective highlights the complex dynamics, diverse experiences and values embedded in the daily encounters with digital platforms and their services. Thus, the key insight of the platform urbanism approach offers a new scope to understand the process of digitally mediated urban spatialities and its socio-material consequences. The platformization of cities in China is in the stage of rapid progress. However, current ICT studies developed by Chinese geographers overwhelmingly adopt a technological solutionism view, ignoring the nuanced interactions of platform and city. This progress report suggests that adopting platform urbanism approach can offer Chinese human geographical studies a more comprehensive way to understand the development of platform cities in China.

11 THE PROGRESS AND IMPLICATIONS OF THE GEOPOLITICS OF MIGRATION IN WESTERN GEOGRAPHICAL RESEARCH
DING Teng-fei, GAO Quan
In the era of globalization, migrants are unneglectable forces that magnify, mediate, and modify geopolitics. In geographical literature, the geopolitics of migration has become an emerging field of study that critically juxtaposes migrants' experiences with geopolitical processes. By tracing the theoretical and empirical progress of the field, this article outlines the ontological and epistemological reflections that facilitate the ongoing dialogues between geopolitics and migration studies. It argues that:1) Ontologically, the geopolitics of migration stresses migration-related practices as the embodiment of geopolitical tensions and the enmeshment of geopolitical actors. This challenges the state-centered characterization of international relations, by politicalizing the territorialization and deterritorialization of human mobility. 2) The geopolitics of migration offers decentered, relational, and materialist epistemologies by harnessing postmodern theories such as feminism, biopolitics, and assemblage thinking. Then, this article maps four often-discussed themes of empirical concern, including refugees, borderwork, labors, and diasporas. By doing so, it illustrates how each theme enriches the documentation and theorization of geopolitical processes, mediations, and subjects from different angles. Zooming in on the themes allows an engagement of research with evolving migration governance and geopolitical praxis. Lastly, this article suggests exploring more possible junctions of migration and geopolitics in previously neutralized interfaces between migration and nonhumans, technologies, and environment.

31 EVOLUTION, PROGRESS AND LOGICAL FRAMEWORK OF COMMUNITY RESILIENCE AT HOME AND ABROAD FOR 20 YEARS
WANG Fei, CHEN Jia
In today's complex and ever-changing global environment, enhancing community resilience has become a critical pathway towards promoting the sustainability of social ecological systems. Over the past two decades, research on community resilience has yielded valuable insights, and the research field has gradually expanded. To this end, this thesis employs bibliometric analysis to identify and categorize three stages of community resilience research from 2001 to 2021 at the domestic and international levels:the embryonic development stage (2001-2006), the sustainable development stage (2007-2014), and the rapid development and fluctuation stage (2015-2021). And the paper summarizes the unique characteristics of each stage, such as publication themes, content, and trends.Furthermore, the thesis provides an overview of the research progress made in the framework, evaluation, influencing factors, and construction management of community resilience. Based on an understanding of the conceptual framework, core content, and related framework of community resilience, the paper proposes a basic logical framework for community resilience research in the field of sustainable science. Finally, the thesis emphasizes the need to focus on constructing a multidisciplinary integration method system, multi-field integration, and emphasizing local practice in China. This will strengthen and deepen research on community resilience in the future.

54 RURAL TRANSFORMATION ADAPTATION AND DEVELOPMENT PATH OPTIMIZATION IN VULNERABLE ENVIRONMENT AREAS: A CASE STUDY OF MINQIN COUNTY, GANSU PROVINCE
YIN Sha, YANG Xin-jun
Adaptation research is one of the important contents of sustainability science. With increasingly attention paid to rural sustainable development, rural transformation adaptation provides new ideas for the research of traditional rural transformation. Based on the adaptive cycle theory, this research constructs the theoretical analysis framework of rural transformation adaptation, and explores the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics and its influencing factors of rural transformation adaptation in Minqin County. Moreover, the research proposes the optimized development path for rural revitalization. The research results show that:1) From 1990 to 2018, the adaptive cycle of rural system experienced Poverty trap, Release, and Reorganization three stages. 2) In the past 30 years, the adaptation level of rural transformation in Minqin County has improved as a whole, but there is a differentiation feature in space. The adaptation level shows "low in the northeast, high in the central and southwest". 3) The low efficiency of agricultural economic transformation and the pressure of medical security hinder the improvement of rural resilience. 4) In future development, it should take into account the benefits of ecological governance and agricultural economic transformation, strengthen the application and promotion of effective agricultural technologies, further improve rural social security and infrastructure, and strengthen the construction of ecological livability.

64 THE USE MODES OF HOUSEHOLD LIFE CIRCLE AND ITS DIFFERENCE CHARACTERISTICS: A CASE STUDY OF SHANGHAI
ZHAI Bao-xin, ZHU Wei
Life Circle planning has become an important measure to achieve equal allocation of public resources and ensure residents' Quality of Life. Based on the data, this paper firstly understands the temporal distance, frequency and travel mode of household daily activities, constructs a household life circle system with four levels of "Community life circle Supplement life circle Transition life circle Commuter life circle", and then identifies four typical household life circle use modes using K means cluster method, and lastly using significant difference test and multinomial logistic regression model to analyzes the differences of use modes drive from family life stage, household commuting distance, residential location and the facility environment within community life circle. The main findings are as follows:1) The proportion of household daily activities satisfied by community life circle is not high, only close to 50 %, and the most households' high utilization space is distributed outside the community life circle; 2) The daily activities of over 30 % households are spatially distributed in the "Community life circle" and "Commuter life circle", especially households who living between the inner ring and the outer ring of Shanghai; 3) With the progress of household life stages, more and more household rely on the community life circle. But the households with infant and adolescent are highly dependent on the life circle which closes to their residence; 4) Whether husband or wife, long distance commuting increases the household's usage of long distance life circle; 5) Providing more nearby employment and convenient subway service, improving various shopping services, and building secondary school play an important role to improve the satisfaction of community lifecircle.

72 SPATIAL STRUCTURE OF INTRA-PROVINCIAL MIGRATION: A CASE STUDY OF FUJIAN PROVINCE
KE Wen-qian, LIN Li-yue, ZHU Yu, WANG Yan
At the late-intermediate stage of urbanization in China, the intra-provincial migration has become the leading mode of domestic migration. Under the above background, this paper takes Fujian province as a case, based on the usual residence five years"Origin-Destination"flow of intra-provincial migration data in 2020, by building migration rate indexes and using community detection method to divide the migration regional types, and identify the migration circles, and concise the spatial structures. The conclusion can be summarized as follows. 1) Five regional types of inter-county migration are identified. The large-scale and small-scale active net in-migration types are the peripheral counties of coastal cities rather than the central districts; the small-scale active net out-migration areas are mainly distributed in the marginal counties in the inland. 2) On the basis of migration flow between different migration regions, the migration network forms diverse spatial migration combinations, and six migration circles are identified.3) Based on the practice of Fujian, there are four spatial structures can be extracted. They are the inter-level migration crossmetropolitan area, the chain migration cross-metropolitan area, the multi-migration within metropolitan area, and the moving toward core within metropolitan area.

82 SPATIAL PATTERN AND INFLUENCING FACTORS OF RENTAL HOUSING CONSUMPTION OF MIGRANTS
CHAI Kang-ni, WANG Yu-fan, FENG Chang-chun
With the establishment of a housing system which emphasizes both renting and buying, how to meet the demand of internal migrants for rental housing becomes the key to realize the new urbanization. Based on the four indicators of amount, pressure, willingness and gap, we evaluated the rental housing consumption level of migrants from different dimensions, examined its spatial pattern among 283 cities, and identified influencing factors at both city and individual levels through hierarchical linear models. It is found that the overall level of rental housing consumption of migrants is low, with a small amount of rent, light pressure and low willingness of migrants, and a large gap with the formal rental housing market. There are significant spatial differences in the distribution among cities. Cities with high and low levels of rental consumption are gathered in Jiangsu-Shandong-Henan-Anhui junction areas and the urban agglomerations along the south-eastern coasts, respectively. The rental housing consumption level of migrants is mainly affected by their personal attributes such as migration distance, willingness to obtain hukou, and the degree of social integration. The characteristics of cities in terms of demographic structure, public services and housing costs influence the effects of the above-mentioned individual attributes on rental housing consumption level by changing the willingness and ability of migrants to purchase housing.

96 STUDY ON SPATIAL DIFFERENCES OF FINANCIAL RISKS IN CHINA
WANG Xiao-yi, SHEN Yue, WANG Xiao-xia
Against the backdrop of continuously increasing regional financial risks and increasing contagion of inter-regional financial risks, with the goal of preventing and controlling regional financial risks, firstly, regional financial risk measurement indicators are constructed from five dimensions:finance, enterprises, government, households, and macro environment. With the data of 31 provinces in China(excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan)from 2007 to 2019 as samples, the entropy method was used to evaluate the financial risk levels of each province, and it is found that there is a regional heterogeneity of "high in the east and low in the west" in the financial risk levels of each province; Although the overall financial risk of the country has been decreasing year by year, Liaoning, Zhejiang, and Guangdong are facing increasing pressure from financial risks; Secondly, the Dagum Gini coefficient and its decomposition method were used to explore the spatial differences in financial risks among the four major urban sectors in China. It is found that there are certain differences in financial risk levels among provinces within the four major sectors and among them. In the process of risk prevention and control, the differences between the four major sectors are still the main source of resistance. The gap between the northeast region and the other three major sectors is the largest, and it is the biggest obstacle to the overall prevention of financial risks; Finally, the spatial econometric model is used to analyze the performance and causes of regional financial risk spatial differences. It is concluded that there is a significant spatial agglomeration feature in the overall financial risk level across the country, showing a diffusion effect from west to east, from north to south and then to north.

105 THE IMPACTS OF MULTI-DIMENSIONAL PROXIMITY ON CHINA'S VENTURE CAPITAL CITY NETWORK: AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF THE FOUR INVESTMENT STAGES
YANG Xin-yu, WANG Bo, YANG Kang-yong
Given the important roles of innovation and entrepreneurship in promoting national economic competitiveness, venture capital network has become the key subject in geography and urban studies. In this empirical study, we aim to reveal how relational data (e.g., multi-dimensional proximity) between cities, in addition to the attribute data of cities, impact the venture capital city network, using China as a case study. And we expect that the city network and impacts of multi-dimensional proximity vary among the four stages. Based on a collection of data on venture capital investment events across cities during the period of 2016- 2020 in China, this study empirically tests the aforementioned assumptions. We find that the number of venture capital investments is much lower at the early stage (i.e., seed stage and start-up stage) than at the latter stage (i.e., development stage and mature stage). Venture capital investments are more concentrated in cities with higher political levels at the early stage and spread to prefecture-level cities at the latter stage. Despite the involvement of more prefecture-level cities at the latter stage, venture capital investments are still highly revolved around the three key cities, i.e., Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Thus, the network is rather more centered at the latter stage than at the early stage. Geographical proximity, institutional proximity, and social proximity all play significant roles in influencing venture capital investment, although with different magnitudes across stages.

113 A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON GEO-ECONOMIC PATTERN BETWEEN CHINA AND INDIA IN THE TRANS-HIMALAYAN REGION
ZHANG Qiao-ling, WANG Shu-fang, HUANG Yu
Trans-Himalayan is a region with unique and complex geographical environment, connecting Central Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia. As the intersection and overlapping area of India's Look East strategy and China's Belt and Road Initiative, the region is considered to be the convergence of geo-economic interests between China and India. Therefore, based on the import and export data of the countries across theHimalayas from 2002 to 2020, this paper uses HM index, trade intensity index and social network analysis method to comprehensively compare the geo-economic pattern of China and India in the trans-Himalayan region. The results show that:1) In terms of economic dependence, the dependence of non-subject countries across the Himalayas on India is generally higher than that on China. 2) Regarding the trade intensity, the overall trade intensity index between non-subject countries and China is low, while the index with India is high. 3) In the trade network, China and India are at the absolute core in the trans-Himalayan regional trade network, forming two groups with China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar as one cluster, and India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal as the other cluster.

124 HUMAN SETTLEMENT DEVELOPMENT LEVEL AND INFLUENCING FACTORS IN “VALLEY SUB-GULLY” OF LOESS PLATEAU: A CASE STUDY OF WUDING RIVER BASIN
TIAN Da-rui, GUAN Zhen, LI Hong-peng, BAI Yu
With the continuous development of energy-enriched areas in northern Shaanxi, the contradictions between man and land, such as unreasonable spatial distribution of urban and rural areas, limited development potential, and damaged ecological environment in valleys, have become increasingly prominent in Loess Hilly and gully areas. In order to improve the development path of "river bank or plain filling type" in Loess Hilly and gully area, this paper puts forward that "sub-gully" space is an important strategic value for the development area of urban and rural edges of Valley-type cities. Taking Wuding River Basin as an object, the developmental level of human settlement in 45 sub-gully samples in the study area were comprehensively evaluated, and the main factors affecting were revealed by means of geodetector. The result shows that the development degree of human settlements in sub-gully can be divided into three levels according to the differences in the population agglomeration, the proportion of land use and economic output. The factors that affect the developmental level of human settlements in sub-gully include the depth length of sub-gully, the number of branched furrows, the scale of enterprises, and the green coverage rate, etc.

154 ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF RURAL LIFE SCENES ON TOURISTS EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE: AN EYE-TRACKING STUDY
ZHANG Liang, LI Jun-yi, YUE Yi-yang, YANG Min
As an important component of the rural landscape, rural life scenes are the common and ordinary reflection of the lives of most village residents. Pastoral scenery and rural life are the biggest attractions of rural tourism. Based on cognitive appraisal theory and from the perspective of tourists, a single-factor intergroup experimental design was adopted. Taking different types of country life scenes (no life scenes, simple life scenes, complex life scenes) as experimental variables, typical photos were selected as experimental stimulus materials, and eye-tracking equipment was used to design and conduct situational experiments. By combining objective eye-movement indicators and subjective questionnaire data, the article analyzes tourists' visual attention and emotional experience when viewing three types of rural life scenes:None/simple/complex, and also examines the role of nostalgic perception in the relationship between rural life scenes and emotional experience. Findings indicate that:1) The existence of rural life scenes will significantly attract tourists' visual attention. It is worth noting that it is not the more complex the scene, the more it can attract the visual interest of tourists. 2) Rural life scenes have a significant positive effect on tourists' emotional experience, and complex rural life scenes bring tourists the highest pleasure perception.

173 THE CONNOTATION AND MULTIDIMENSIONAL MEASUREMENT OF PERCEPTION OF TOURISM RITUAL BASED ON PERSPECTIVE OF “TOURISM AS RITUAL: A GENERAL THEORY OF TOURISM”
LUO Jing-jing, LV Xing-yang, JIAO Yan, TANG Zi-yan
It is difficult to measure tourists' perception of tourism ritual, which has been acknowledged as an important means of deeply spiritual experience. Scholars have not reached an agreement on the concept of perception of tourism ritual, not mention to full understanding of its attribute dimensions and valid measurements, which impedes the development of a theory system. Therefore, this paper has two objectives. One is to explore dimensions of perception of tourism ritual. The other is to develop a system of valid and scientific scale. Based on previous scholarship, this paper redefines perception of tourism ritual and then explore the multi-dimensions of its connotation, including the three-level coding of 31 in-depth interviews and 39 online travelogues, in order to develop a theory system. Finally, a scale of perceived tourism ritual is developed. The results show that perceived tourism ritual is cognitive, holistic and dual-hierarchical. It has six attribute dimensions, including symbolism, filed, formality, anti-structure, distinctiveness, and isolation. With 22 items, the tourism ritual scale has excellent reliability and validity. This research contributes to deeper understanding of perception of tourism ritual, and also to the modification the ambiguity and omission of its definition. The scale adopted in this paper can provide a technical example in the assessment of perceived tourism ritual and help with the development of the theory in this field.
