Abstract

This article approaches the development survey and characteristics of Human Geography from the middle of 19th century. It puts emphasis on introducing the significant achievements of Human Geography in developing new theories, new methods and new sections.
Human Geography in our country began to develop along with the development of Advanced Geography Education in 1920s. This article also discusses the developments and characteristics of Human Geography in our country in chronological sequence, and goes further into the distinguished progresses of Human Geography in Urban Geography, Population Geography, Geography of Tourism and Historical Geography in our country after 1970s. Additionally, it points out that the study of some geographical sections such as Political Geography, Cultural Geography. Behavioral Geography and so on relatively lags behind. IN the end, the paper advances the general develop-ment of every section of Human Geography.
