Abstract

As a special geo-political area in the world, the Middle East has been moving towards the multipolization since the 1990's, and its geo-political situation has been influenced by a lot of different factors. This paper aims at expounding the most important of the factors, such as geographical locations, territories, natural resources, nationalities, religions and regional hegemony concerned with the Middle East. Based on the conceptions of influencing power of body politic and geo-politics, the paper postulates some concise formulas, which can be applied to the quantitative analysis of the geo-political stability of the Middle East. Also, the paper offers a discussion about some major events and characteristics of the present Middle East geo-political situation.
