Abstract

After introducing the fractal theory in brief, the paper presents a new model of systems of towns (Koch model)Which develops the central place theory, turning the static equilibrated pattern into dynamic spreading pattern, and then demonstrates that the spatial distribution of towns is fractal as aggregation before discussing the city-sized distribution. Some tentative ideas of applying fractal theory to urban plan are given in the end.
