Abstract

In 1993, China's Human Geography was confronted with two sides of challenges. Academic works, including geographer's study, met with the impact of the new economic situation, and geographical education was influenced by reforms in the entrance exams to universities. But this scientific learning is needed in the practice in 1990s. New and old but unsolved problems appeal togeographer's intervention, and this will constitute new development opportunities for Human Geography and all its branches. To do this, human geographers should approach the real life, pay attention to pop-learning and academic restructuring.
