Abstract

Guangxi is the only one minority nationality autonomous region with boundary with a foreign country and facing to the sea. She is rich with native products of sub-tropical agriculture and forestry, hydroelectric resource, minerals of aluminium, manganese, tin and mercury, and tourist resources. As the broad passage for the south-western China to the sea, Guangxi is prominent in the position of regional political and economy. With marching forward to the 21st century, Guangxi will build up the following regional development strategic pattern:to complete the basic structure of constructing a broad passage mainly for transportation, energy and communication; to build seven series of pillar industrical bases and to form five economic zones. In this ways, we will build up Guangxi as one coastal hot area for developing the minority natonality economy.
