Abstract

An exposition of the fractal charactor of tourist landscapes is given in the paper, which points out that human tourism is essentially an action to absorb geographical information. The differencity of geo-surface results in a great deal of information flow which as a kind of negative entropy can make tourists produce aesthetic feelings. Fractals with both similarity and differencity are good sources of information and a tourist landscape always includes various fractal bodies such as mounts, streams, cities, roads, etc. A suggestion is made that we can device the structure of a tourist landscape by means of fractal theory, which will make our tourist resources used much efficiently.
