Urban grid management, which is formed through the integration of the modern urban management theory and "digital city" technology, will be the new model of urban management in 21st century. This mode has been broadly applied overseas. At the same time, this management has also been used in urban management in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan and other cities or regions. It is proved to be very effective in urban management.
Urban grid management is different from the traditional urban management in terms of the management system and means. Through the coordination of the urban grid management system, the urban management problems are fully tracked from the beginning of the problems. This management mode established the real-time and long-term efficient mechanism, achieved the precision of the urban management, reconstituted the flowing of the urban management, realized function separation of the surveillance from the urban management, and instituted the supervising and evaluating system.
