Abstract Both visitors and local residents enjoy the entire urban environment when they are having a tour in the city. Satisfaction evaluation of the supply components of urban environment will be built during the process of their experience. Based on review of the literature on urban tourist satisfaction and revisit intention, the paper examined the data gathered from Wuhan tourism market survey. The purpose of the research was to find out the difference of satisfaction factors of the supply components of urban environment between local residents and visitors and to examine the influence of satisfaction evaluation on their revisit intension by using the factor analysis, independent-samples T test and multiple regression analysis. There are three conclusions as following; ①the findings show that there are three environmental supply dimensions in experience of residents and tourists; ②the findings reveal that the visitors' satisfaction of most environmental factors is higher than the residents'. The residents expect more from their own urban environment, so their evaluation is stricter; ③the findings indicate that both visitors and residents' revisit intentions are influent by the satisfaction of the basic environmental supply factors. It suggests that the urban authority should pay more attention to the basic environmental supply components.
