Abstract:The fusion constitutes the new and old essential factors of a city and maintains the essential continuity of retests of the renewal area of the city. In order to explore the development contexts of the city's internal place, seek the fusion mechanism for the old and new elements of the city, and relect the continuity of urban development after the renewal of the place through urban planning and design, under the background of the overall plan of a city, the methods of field survey and the statistic date analysis have been applied in this paper to explore the problems resulted in during the process of cities' development, especially, the renovation and integration of inner-city areas.
Based on the theory of renovation and the summary of the literatures at home and abroad, the authors of this paper point out that the constant development of a city will change people's life style, and people over there have to suffer from the challenge coming from new elements, with the breaking of the old structure in the renewal area inside city. Meanwhile, new elements will have an unceasing impact on the renewal area inside city, and be dissolved in the process of integration of the renewal area together with the former structure, and form a completely new compatibility of the old and the new elements, which is an inexorable trend of city rebuilding.
Also, the authors manifest the process of urban development clearly by using the integrating methods, such as splicing and the paragenesis, and so on.
The conclusions and suggestions are given in this paper. City has being developed reconstructed while the history of human beings keeps going. It is a key subject for experts and those concerned to combine the continuativeness of tradtional space structure and the needs of development in modern and future society, so as to have the continuity of city's development by satisfying the demands of people's behavior and preserving the traditional space sequence.
Finally, The authors point out how to reserve the custom of the old community and the historical sites is an important problem for the local government and researchers concerned to develop the old town and integrate the old and new elements in its reconstruction to satisfy the needs of combination between the urban development and continuity of the city's history, in line with the modern life of people over there.
