Abstract：Urban land use with compensation provides a new oppotunity for urban space expansion and brings about new problems. This article, first comments on rent theory and urban gross economic benifit, then discusses land use with compensation takes effects on urban space expansion, finally points out the problems of planning and controlling on land use with compensation and urban space expansion.
