Abstract：The economic belt of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge is one of the main zone of stimulating economical growth of china in the 21st century. On the basis of the theory of urban positioning, this paper approaches the strategic positioning and the direction of development of the fundamental cities in the economic belt of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge in China from the urban system and the city itself. It puts forward the key countermeasures to speed up the city development of this belt.
